Back to ye drawing board!!!
Having made a really good and positive start in January in my quest to loose three stone and then having subsequently lost a stone by April, I then went and undid all my hard work by 'treating myself' for my Birthday in early April.
Trouble is, those treats continued over the next few months and although I realised I was gradually putting weight back on, I did nothing about it (well, not seriously anyway)!!
AND I have been paying my Gym membership and not going!!
Today though is the turning point. We have approx 12 weeks to Christmas and I HAVE to turn this around.
I weight myself this morning and it looks like I have gained 8.5lbs of the stone I lost in April ![]()
I am even more gutted that had I have continued as I started the year, I would have probably lost another stone by now......
Anyway, onwards and upwards!!
Hit the gym this morning at 6am.... starting as I MEAN to go on !!
WISH ME LUCK !!! ![]()
xx
Starting off again after a "pause" is the hardest part, but it sounds like you're starting strong! Keep at it, and good luck! Keep that determination strong and you'll be good to go (:
Thank you.... I am frustrated with myself, but no good dwelling!!
Thanks for the words of encouragement! ![]()
Hi PinkLA,
I am right there with you girlfriend! It's always such an uphill battle and it's just too easy to get complacent, trust me I'm good at it.
About 6 1/2 years ago I used to work out sometimes 3 times a day and took in very little calories because I just wasnt that hungry. Man do I wish I was back there again! I think I was crazy back then ![]()
My problem started after I got married, my wonderful husband wanted to spend as much time with me as possible so that meant less time at the gym. Well needless to say that started my spiral down.
We both used to be so fit and ate so much more healthier. We both look at pictures of us in the past and wonder how the heck did we let this happen especially because he's in his mid 50's and me in my mid 40's, it just gets harder.
However I am not giving up! Today is a new day and I am counting my calories once again, took 1/2 hr brisk walk and will be heading into the gym later today to work out hard.
You can do it just remember it's mind over matter. I have to go to the extreme and tell my mind "If you don't do this, you're going to die!" Lol.
Best of luck to you Pink!
Good Luck! (and remember.. it takes 28 days to make a habit. You have done this before.. you can do it again. It's just a matter of getting past that initial hump)
The side effects of allergy medications keep some people from using them. Natural remedies can be a great alternative, but some are more effective than others.
