I like the thread about measurements and I want to see what your idea of the ideal measurements would be for a tall girl...

Thanks

I'm the closest to mlweadbrock, I think.  I'm 5'9", 38-33-43, and weigh 182 lb (as of this posting), but her waist is MUCH smaller than mine, and she weighs a few pounds more (as of this posting).

It's very interesting!!!  With all these variances in measurements, no wonder why it's so hard to find clothes off the rack that fit us.

I'm 5' 9.5" and my measurements are 36-26-38. I'm about 138, and while I wouldn't mind losing about 5 lbs and toning my hip area, I'm pretty happy where I'm at weight-wise, and I just want to become healthier overall.

As a side note, while I was measuring myself I decided to use an online bra size calculator, and it said I'm a 32D?! =P But I don't think I look anything like other people who wear D cups... What about after I have kids?

This thread is very interesting! All the posts are a little bit unsettling for me just because I'm a larger frame and at one point in my adult life I weighed 155 and looked anorexic and you could see all my ribs.  I've always had a large, athletic frame, but curvy at the same time. a healthy weight for my is somewhere between 175-190 to be completely honest and that puts me at a size 10-12 right where i know i should be, regardless of what the BMI charts say. I have just a few more pounds to get my goal, and hopefully should be there before summer in order to achieve some faster times in bike/running races. currently my measurements are 38 - 31 - 43.  With another inch off my waist there would be no excess fat left.    anyway there is no one 'perfect' measurement, i don't think - very interesting reading though and good luck to everyone!!

I think this is a great topic! Real-people measurements, not a bunch of impossible celebrity "ideals". Good luck to everyone!

I'm 15, 5'10.5", and 32-26-34. Have maintained 120-125 lbs for a year. I do cross-country and I dive, so I've got a runner and swimmer's build... flat as a pancake, haha. I think an extra inch or two on my bust and hips would make me feel more attractive, but I'm also glad I don't have to deal with them.

These threads are really stupid.

I'm 5'10 in bare feet. I use to be only 130, 35-26-36 and I was too skinny (hip bones jutted out and I was slightly underweight according to the BMI) And crazy enough most models are 34-24-34 but that would be skin and bone.

Now I'm 140-142 depending on the day, measurements 36-28-38 which is much better.  I exercise to maintain the 28 waist.  A 28 waist for someone 5'9/5'10" is pretty tiny I would say. speaking of models, I was reading that many plus-size models have 36-28-38 measurements which is insane!!

Many plus sized models are very fit and healthy, and not PLUS SIZED at all.

By the way, my NEW weight is 178, and my measurements have changed.  Now my waist is 31 and my hips are 43.  And, I'm a 38 D.

I weigh 130 and am 5' 9" and my measuements are 34-28-36 and just some info...the model in the movie "Just Go With It" Brooklyn Decker is our height and supposedly her measurements are 36-24-34 (that's hard to believe look at her waist and hips on youtube) I don't personally care what her measurments are but she doesn't look that way to me?

I read that Brooklyn decker never weights herself.  She has no idea what she weights. But she does an insane amount of strength training and weights which she claims builds muscle causing you to weight more on the scale but look smaller/leaner.

She has huge boobs though so I don't know how accurate her measurements are.

I am 5'9", 126-128, and about 34-25-34. I feel okay with how I am now. I used to be like 116, which was too skinny, and so am feeling healthier the way I am now :)

I'm around 5"9, at 140....bust 34 inch, waist 30, hips 39!! Seems to be on the bigger side here..but I have quite a large skeleton hahaha big rib cage!! I'm in a family of tall giants what can I say. I'm on the short side of my family..!

I'm mostly happy at 140, wouldn't mind a couple of pounds gone but this is a weight in general I like.....I have been 132 before but that was hard to maintain, I always felt hungry and craved junk. Wait, I still crave junk now....:P :P

I'm 5'10" but similarly proportioned to ledfoot. 37, 31.5, 41.5 currently and sitting at 173 lbs. I was 37, 33, 43 when I started CC at 180 lbs.

I always thought that I had a massive waist to hip ratio, but looking at all of your numbers, I guess not. I don't know where I'll be when I get down to my goal weight of 140, but I hope that a large portion of the hips are gonna go. I'm carrying a lot of weight on my hips.

Wow I feel like my measurements are way too big after reading all these posts.  I have like no muscle mass, though, so that's probably why haha.  I'm 19 years old, 5'10", and weigh around 160 lbs.  My measurements are 37-32-40.  I really gotta work on my waist and hips! D:

Although these are pretty rough measurements.  I had to use a belt marked using a 5" note card then estimate any extra inches. x)

I am 5'8" and a half. Bust circumference-33 waist circumference- 24.5 and hip circumference-35.5. weight- around 125 (it fluctuates and that's the most it gets to) I am 14 years old and don't find these to be unrealistic. I guess it may change as I grow older, but I hate it when people say that's unrealistic and I must be anorexic (or when they joke around about it)

I love reading everyone's different sizes and weights!  Women really vary.  Our differences are what makes us beautiful.  Each of us is pretty much one of a kind :)

I've weighed as little as 130 and I looked sick.  I've weighed as much as 200 and I atleast carried it well.  I'm finally at a happy steady weight, because of diet and exercise (calorie count helped!).

I am 5'9'' and weigh 165 lbs.

Bust 36, waist 29, hip 38, butt 46  ( I added the butt because it really makes a difference when looking for clothes!)

I'm 5'8 3/4"... that is basically 5'9".  I'm only 19.  I just measured myself, I believe I probably weight 138 now, but I could be a couple pounds over or under that.

Bust 34

Waist 26

Hips 34.5

I wear a 32 B, sometimes a C even.  Size 8 in pants... the waist in jeans is always too big for me and always tight on the middle of my thighs and sometimes my calves as well.  I carry my weight on my legs for sure, I have a very slender flat stomach but big legs.. sometimes I don't like them, but they look nice when they are well toned.

My thinnest weight at this height has been 118 and was not really maintainable for me, however I would really like to loose some weight and I felt very skinny at 118... probably the weight I think I look the best at is 122, under that I start to look a bit gross and my... bone stick out a lot, but I know that truthfully 122 for MY health is not optimal, it's too thin... but still it feels really good to be that weight...sigh!

34 inch hips? On a tall woman, no less? Are you serious? Sounds like a cranky, braindead, infertile skeleton to me.

I'm 5'9" and my measurements were 39/27/37 when I looked and felt best. That was 8 pounds ago when I was 128-130 lbs. 34d or dd

Those measurements won't be ideal for everybody type but they looked good on me. :)

At the moment my waist is 28 and my butt 38.
