weight loss due to emotions - how to maintain?
hey all,
i was about 5-7 lbs from my goal weight (down from 10 lbs away). within the past two weeks or so, i was under (and still am, but dealing with it better) a lot of emotional stress. i didn't eat nearly as much as usual & walked A LOT - so i dropped the weight pretty quickly. (keep in mind that i was already at a healthy weight, so it would have taken a lot longer to get those last extra lbs off)
despite the circumstances of the weight loss, i'd like to keep it off. any recommendations? as i get emotionally healthier, my appetite is returning... i understand that if calories in = calories out, i'll maintain... but i'm looking for support, advice & maybe some past experiences to help!
thanks!

How about meditation, prayer, or elimination of whatever your underlying problem is?
To be sucessful you have to get that emotional strss under control. Stress encourages cortisol production in your body and cortisol is pretty counter-productive to anyone wanting to improve their physical status. Increased cortisol levels signals to your body to prepare for famine. Therefore you convert food into fat for survival.
Another idea is to take some sort of cortisol inhibitor, there are a few out there on the market. At least until you get into a healthy frame of mind relative to your particular stressors.
