Hello! My name is Bob and I'm a type II diabetic, with high blood pressure and high cholesteral (sic?). I started following a very stick 1550 cal./day diet using this web site as my guide. My initial weight was 220 as of August 1, 2010 and my goal was to be below 200 by 10/1/2010. I only weigh myself on Sunday, so you can imagine my delight when I weighed in at 199 this morning!!!
Thank you, Mary and thank you, all the people who blog and are trying their best to lose weight. Keep it up!!! I've reset my goal weight to 185 by 12/31/10....time to get back to work!
BTW, I'm a tax advisor, so I sit on my duff all day getting very little exercise. This goal makes it that much sweeter!
Congratulations!!!! What a great feeling! :)
Well done! Your body must love you for it ;)
Thanks! Looking forward to meeting the next goal!
My waist certainly does! Thanks for writting!
Bob,
Being a (prediabetic with metabolic syndrome) nurse, my first thoughts are CONGRATS in the weight loss, and lowering your BMI along with your risks of a whole plethora of diseases!!
My second thought is BE CAREFUL and check your blood sugar regularly. I don't know what meds you are on for your diabetes, or your blood pressure, but losing weight, (getting healthier) almost always lowers your medication needs. You could be taking a dose of medicine for someone with blood sugar levels much higher than your actual levels now that you are excercising. See your doc. soon, and check that blood sugar frequently, and keep a small snack with you when you work out so you don't crash.
Good luck! Keep up the good work, and make an appt. with your doc! S/he is going to be very happy with you!
You're in ONEDERLAND!!!! Woo Hoo!!!!! :D
congratulation, u passed the first rung of success ladder!!!!
Great job!
Thanks! BTW, love your picture!
Thank you!
Congratulations! And you achieved it several weeks early, too! That gives you a great head start! Keep it up and post some before-after pictures!
Bravo! : )
You're inspirational!
Congrats!!
