Welcome to 2012! I STILL need a challenge. I know some of you are up for it! We weigh-in Fridays - something weekly to keep me us focused. But do what works for you.
Anybody can join whenever they want, or quit whenever they want. I'll be here EVERY week to post my weigh-in! It'll be fun to have people here with me, lol.

AHHH! I have to just tell you all my anxiety for tonight! My baby turned 15 today and we went and got her permit this morning. Tonight, she wants us to take her boyfriend to Rodizio Grill for dinner.
OMG! I am going to DIE! I absolutely cannot what-so-ever turn down food at this place! It is a Brazilian steakhouse and they serve the most amazing food ever!
I am going to gain 10 pounds by the end of the night!
I am sooo stressed about this and I am not one to get stressed about my intake of food because I usually don't have to worry about it. However, I can only imagine how many calories are in the food I am about to eat tonight!

So, as of this time, I have had about 1/2 cup pineapple, a banana, 1 oz cheese, and a whole wheat tortilla with butter, and my pepsi. I am sitting at just about 600ish calories (off the top of my head... I haven't logged it)
That's leaving me about a thousand calories for dinner without going over my limit. I figure if I have salad and the meats, I might be ok without going too far over 1600 calories... What do you think?
@ababehschick - I think you should just go and have a good time and eat what sounds good without stuffing yourself, and then make tomorrow and sunday lighter days. How often does your daughter turn 15 and get her permit?

I'm still weighing just once a month because I think I'm a little too vulnerable to withstand the usual fluctuations. So far that has worked for me. I had a binge--a real zinger. I felt awful at the time, because that is what overeating does to me, but I've been able to return to healthy habits. I have an irritable bowel (IBS) and overeating really takes a toll on me. I think my system was in shock because I have been pretty kind to it for several weeks now. I realize now how much more calm my symptoms have been since I came to CC and started paying attention to what I put in my body.
Anyway, kudos to all of us for showing up. We're all winners.

It's Ramadan.
yep :) its not as bad as it sounds lol your body adapts. Im just making sure to drink a lot of water when I can and eat good amounts of veg and protein.

Your stats are very similar to mine...except that I am considerably older! Anyway, I joined CC on 06/19/11 at 230.4 pounds, and At my last weigh-in on 07/30/11 I had lost 11.2 pounds. I only weigh once a month because I'm afraid I'll become discouraged by the natural fluctuations that are bound to occur. Even so, I like this group; it keeps me accountable!
Only lost a lb this week... I'm having a hard time getting the motivation to go to bed at a decent hour. However... Tonight, I am going to get some Unisom to get my body changed into going to bed earlier and getting up earlier. I am going to have to when my hubby switches to days in a couple weeks anyway, so might as well start now and I just can't seem to do it on my own.

I weighed this morning... 08/08/11 = 154.4!
I guess cleaning my brothers house and not really eating meals.. just snacks thru out the day helped me out.
I need to be careful ... i havent really had an appetite lately. Too much stress goin on in my life right now.
Hillary - Make sure you eat enough calories... That is where I screwed up for most of my life... only about 800-1000 calories a day.
Now, my metabolism is too low and doesn't work so well... I have been building back up, but I still have problems.
Im really having trouble with anything.. I can manage to get iced coffee in me. Hot coffee is a no for right now. Not sure why. But I feel like I would throw it up if I drank it. Same with food. Hot food does not sound good at all. Ive been doing popsickles all weekend. I did have a scone on Sunday. Saturday I made spaghetti but I maybe took 4 bites .. of sauce. I couldnt eat the noodles. Ugh. A lot of personal family stuff going on right now. Maybe thats why... not sure. Im having a lot of chest pains as well. I went in on Friday. Said it was heart burn. Gave me medication. It still hurts. Doc is gonna call back today. Hmm the drop on the scale was nice to see. Sucks that its because of my lack of food. So its not like I deserved to lose weight. Oh well.
Hillary - Be careful... Your body will change modes and realize that it's not getting what it needs to function, therefore will start holding on to anything and everything it gets and your metabolism will slow. This will turn into weight gain...
The side effects of allergy medications keep some people from using them. Natural remedies can be a great alternative, but some are more effective than others.
