Anyone want a 30 day shred accountability buddy?
I am doing the 30 day shred and looking for a buddy to be accountable to and also to motivate each other by sharing our daily work out success. I am only on day 4 but loving it so far!
I got Jillian in today as well as a Pilates DVD for twenty mins so I still feel motivated but the lack of pounds lost still sucks!
Calorie range has averaged between 13 and 16 hundred.

Suriyah - All your hard work is bound to start showing on the scale, especially if you are losing pounds. My pants are feeling a bit more comfortable too. This is usually when I loosen up the reins, but I'm trying to hold on tight...well, last night aside! I totally fell off the wagon last night, I've been dreading posting today.
Never-the-less...back on track today and date with Jillian tonight. I did at least drink my water and walked on my breaks yesterday. Partial success!
Today's weight - 157.8
Today's goal - Date with Jillian!
Scale said 177.6 this morning! Excited! HAHA
I live in yoga and dressy sweatpants ( haha) so I haven't noticed my clothing fitting any looser yet! I did buy a measuring tape and plan to take measurements for those weeks when my scale doesn't want to budge. I wish I had done that when I started 6 weeks ago but oh well!
Kept my date with Jillian today and also jogged 3 miles on the treadmill. I ordered a Heart rate Monitor and excited for that to arrive. I don't really need one but curious about how they work!
End of February already! Here's to a GREAT March!
I did pilates this morning and a 35 min brisk walk, no Jillian because my legs were sore from those activities. I will def be doing her dvd tomorrow morning! My caloric intake was pretty good as been my habit the past few weeks. I generally don't exceed 1500 a day. I have to hit this thing hard! I just woke up one morning and said enough! Lol
Briannes82...3 miles on the treadmill...very impressive! I've always wanted to be a runner, just might have to give it a shot again.
Suriyah...do you attend a class for your pilates, or compelte a DVD. I've heard so much about them, I might give it a try one day too!
Today's weight - 157.2
Today's goal - No snack after dinner!
Hey everyone!
I just found this forum after I started my 30 day shred yesterday!
I'm dedicated to the next month (but staying at Level 1 I think - a little frightened of the other levels)
My goal is to do Jillian Michaels in the morning about 5 days a week and then at night do something else....more strength probably.
Is this program supposed to be done every day?
Today is Day 2. Endurance is getting better, but I don't like pushups (not even on my knees)
Let's see Yesterday I was 184 - Today I'm 185, but I weighed myself after eating so that could be why.
Working on my calories in so I'm happy to join the group and stay accountable!!!
Good luck everyone!
- Jill
Today's weight - 158.4
Today's goal - drink all water. already a bit behind for the day. got to catch up!
LOL Hoggy509! I hardly ever weigh myself but have tried to make a point of stepping on the scale once a week at least. Don't pass on that little scale monster to me!
I received my heart rate monitor today and after completing the work out it said I burned 362 calories which is quite abit higher than what the circuit training activity gives me on here! My treadmill says I burn 263 doing a preset 2 mile fatburn workout going between a medium walk and a light jog and my monitor said 330! Worked out to an additional 138 calories burned through the monitor!
I am going to stay on Level 1 for a few more days then move into level 2. I am finding level 1 easier to get through but it's still a challenge!
Goal- DRINK MY WATER! I have been slacking by only drinking 4-5 glasses a day!
On the shred, I've been alternating between level one and two the last couple days because I've been feeling slightly achy. I'm def going to stretch a bit more and maybe buy some icy hot! Lol
Question: my caloric goals every day are to not exceed 1500 and not go under 1200. So, if I meet my caloric range but some days my fat grams are a bit high (like 50 instead of 40) that could hinder my weight loss even if my calories are always correct right???
Hey guys! What I wanna know is are you doing it daily? lol I dunno if i'm just horribly out of shape but I did it for 3 days in a row (level 1) and I was SO CRAZY SORE It was ridiculous!!!! Was it this way for you? does it go away soon? Should I just push though it? I could barely walk lol!

I try to do it 6 days a week and have 1 rest day but from what I read it is meant to be done daily. My first couple days I could barely get through level 1 and was sore the next few days but after doing it 6-7 times it became easier. I suggest you push through it and follow the modified versions for a few days. I have tripled how many push ups (modified) I can do since starting this workout!
No exercise today, unless you count shopping!! Heading to Vegas this next week so out of town for the night with my daughter shopping. But...keeping a check on my food. Feeling pretty good for the day! Keep up the good work everyone!
I started doing Jillians fat boosting metabolism video and her 6 week to 6 pack video. I have my best friends wedding in 6 weeks and I really need to focus Ive been great the last 3 days but I need to stay focused. I did two videos morning and night and walked on the treadmill on an incline for 50 mins. I love Jillians videos!
Brian, so how would you determine which is correct between the calories listed from your heart monitor and the machines that you are using?? Why do you think the numbers are so different? I am going to walmart tomorrow to purchase one, I know that!
The side effects of allergy medications keep some people from using them. Natural remedies can be a great alternative, but some are more effective than others.
