140/130 club

Quote  |  Reply
Anyone in this grouping looking to drop from 140 to 130's.  We can all use support.  Today I am focusing on all the food groups.  Exercise would be good, but I won't be able to since I am working from 9 to 10:30.  A Super long day.  I hope I can stay focused, when I pass the fast food chaines on my travels today.

Sherry~ how frustrating.....so glad I go to snap fitness, they are open 24/365 they are just not staffed that whole time.  You get a card that lets you in and out of the building and they hacve video camera's all over inside.

I did not have a very healthy weekend.  Friday my daughter had a sleep over and I ate too much pizza and ice cream cake.  Saturday food wise in the morning wasn't to bad but then it was the Zombie pub crawl so I did a fair amount of drinking and ate not so great.  And yesterday I didn't get back on track either.  Right now I have no will power because TTOM started and I have really bad sinus cold.  Really going to get my runs in this week, but if I'm feeling to run down I'm going to skip them and hopefully by next week I'll be healthy enough to start training full board.

That what they need to do here is give us a card...probably get lots more members that way for sure!!!  I walked yesterday....jogged 2 miles walked 1, went to the gym this morning so I can wathc Summer at her tumble class tonight, after that I'm going to the tracka nd jog 2 miles.

It's been a tiring day...we have been so busy, I'm tired.

Casy- get back on track, which I know you will, hate that you have a cold on top of ttotm, you need a break that's for sure!!!

Mom and Summer and my aunt and uncle went to eat pizza yesterday and they asked if I wanted to go and I said no because I know I wouldn't know when to stop!!! Do you know how hard that was!!! Crazy hard!!!

This is my last week of training with Laura can't wait to hear my measurements, I can tell a difference in areas, I know I feel better but it sure takes dedication, but I like the results so maybe I can stick with it? We will see.

Well went to watch Summer at her tumbling class and then hit the track and jogged 2 miles....I'm wondering if I'm not picking my feet up enough...or does that even make any sense?

Didn't get up to do to the gym this morning my body just felt to tired and sleepy I will hit the track when I get off and then go to my Memaw Curtis' for supper....fried chicken...it's been forever since I have had fried chicken, but I am going to eat okay, I'm not going to over do it....I can do this!

Been eating fine.....I'm leaing more to fruit or trying to when i want something sweet...not too much just enough to satisfy....I love the little plastic snack baggies...they are wonderful and since I have been keeping grapes and strawberries that's what Summer eats instead of a little debbie, I'm proud of her for that!!

Sherry~ awesome that you are helping Summer to make better food choices and that she is wanting to eat the healthier foods.  What I have been told about running is to be as eficient as you can, don't make bigger steps then needed, keep arms at a 90* angle ans swing them at your side, not across your chest.  When it comes to long distance running you don't want to expell any more energy then what is needed.  Probably more info then you were looking for, lol.

My eating has been ok, with feeling crappy I havde allowed myself treats to help pick up my mood.  But yesterday during my run my stomach felt really cruddy so I know I need to watch my food choices closer and make better decisions.  This week my plan is to get all four runs in, then next week I'll add in biking and strength training in.  This training season I'm going to try running 4 days a week, cross train (bike) two days a week and strength train three days a week and see how I feel.

Hope everyone is surviving the warmer weather, it's 10am and already 75*, around here avg high is 70*, down around Minneapolis/St. Paul it was in the mid 90's....it might be a hot summer.

I will get measured tomorrow, man what a great workout tonight, she is having a summer fitness competition going on, would love to do that but not sure if I'll have the money, it would be another 6 weeks of traingin which would be awesome and it would be 2 times a week!!! I need to find the money......

I didn't go to the gym Tuesday as I was sleepy that morning and then went to my grandma's for supper, Fried Chicken, I DID NOT OVEREAT!!! I thnk that is a first for me in a really long time, yes I had to be conscious about my eating it would have been so easy to go back for seconds and thirds.....I jogged 2 miles before I went to her house and then me and my sis in law went walking 2 miles after we ate!!! I was so happy.

Eating still in check.....I'm really trying to focus....it's hard.

Weighed this morning ....142 1/2 I'm so happy!!!!!

Went to the gym and got measured....lost an inch in around my chest, 1/2 inch in the abs, 1/2 inch in the stomach,1/2 in each thigh, 1/2 inch in each arm and 1/4 inch in my calves, I'm happy with that and then Laura looked at the date she originally measured me and I still have 1 more training session!!! I thought it was just straight 4 seesions but she goes by dates so I get 1 more time!!!! YEAHHHHH!!!!!

I think I'm just oging to sign for 1 more month of training....not sure about the fitness challenge...still thinking about it.

Well let's hope for a good weekend and sunshine and some good cardio!!! And hope to not overeat......

I fudged the past couple of days, back on track tomorow!!! Had a great day with our friends, even with the rain!!!

Hope everyone had a great weekend.

Scales were up to 144.....no ones fault but mine due to the bad eating this weekend and my schedule has been screwed up this week on exercise.....it will be okay I'm bck on track.

Getting my hair highlighted this afternoon, will probalby not be able to get to the gym, maybe I can go walk a couple of  miles.....we will see.

Sherry~ we can do this, hope your hair turned out just how you wanted and you got that gym/walking in.

Ugh, I can tell it's getting to be summer, boy is it getting busy!!!!  I really need to start doing my full training plan, I haven't even gotten all my runs in this week, no gym, no biking this week.  Won't make it up to the gym tonight cause it's my boyz sleep over party, not gonna leave my hubby alone with up to 12 kindergarten boyz.  Going to run 9 miles tomorrow, I will get back on track next week, while getting ready for our garager sale on June 13....it's going to be a long summer.  This weekend will be sorting, pricing and bringing stuff out of the basement....so I'll burn a lot of calories.

Hey guys!

Just thought I'd drop in and say hello... see how everyone is doing.  Wow, you guys are sure active in here now!  It was so quiet for so long...  I'm glad to see you guys are still plugging away at it!  I've still been keeping on track too, just haven't been posting on this thread.  Been busy lately w/work and my dog just had major knee surgery on Thursday afternoon... she's in rough shape, so I've been playing "nurse".  Hopefully she'll bounce back soon.

Sherry:  You're doing great!  That personal trainer seems like she's doing wonders for you!  Way to get back on track!  Hope your weight went back down and your hair turned out how you wanted!  :)

Cassy:  Sounds like you've been really busy!  Wow, 12 kindergarten boys - all I have to say is YIKES!!  You're very brave.... and must be a very patient person.  ;)  Have fun w/that one!  Hope you were able to get your 9 miles in!  I still think that is amazing... don't know how you do it.  I ran outside tonight, but I did 3 miles and that's a lot to me.  I think the most I've ever ran so far is about 4 miles.  Good luck w/the garage sale prep!  Can you come over and do one for me too???  We have so much extra stuff sitting around in the garage, but we're just too lazy to bother trying to sell it!  LOL  Just think of all the money we could make...  just sounds like a hassle to deal w/all the bargain hunters too, I guess.  Good luck w/it all!  :)

As I posted in my journal the weekends are killing me....I have to get them back under control.  My hair turned out really good, I like it alot, I'll try to post a picture.

Last week was crappy with my working out and walking, this week got to get back on track, the 5K is next weekend!!!!

Cassy- 12 kindergartners???? My you are a brave woman!!!!! I don't even know what to say, hope you got your run in. I have had 2 yard sales and they both turned out pretty good for the small amount that I had. Hope you do great.

Karey-saw where your puppy had surgery....I sure hope she gets better soon.  You are just rocking right along, I love looking at your pictures of the animals that you groom they are too cute, Summer loves them to. My sis in law is going to be adopting a mini weenie dog in a couple weeks from the humane society out of Missouri, her name is Zoe and she is about 4 months old, she is black and tan with little gray spots, toooooo cute!!! I can't wait to see her, we just have to stick with our kitty cats!!  I love dogs, I just don't have the patience to potty train one.

Also looks like my step son maybe moving in with us for a little while, don't know the whole story or for sure what's goign to happen just keep us all in your prayers.

Sherry:  Yeah, those weekends can be killers if you're not careful.  I try not to go overboard, but have one bad day or two not so good meals usually.  Just try to keep it in check.  Glad the hair turned out good, you should post a pic.  You probably saw an old pic of my dog's other leg from her surgery last year... this one looks pretty much the same though, just different leg.  Glad you guys like looking at my pics.  :)  That dachshund sounds so cute!  Such a cute name too... I like the name Zoe.  From the colors and spots you described, it sounds like she's a cute little dapple.  Potty training most dogs isn't too hard, especially if you get a more intelligent one.  My dog took to it pretty quickly.  I'll keep you in my thoughts about the whole step son moving in thing...  hope it all goes well!

Well I did get to the track last night and jogged 2 miles and did a mix on the 3rd mile, it was so hot and humid, been doing some stress/emotional eating the last couple days......not overly bad but not great. Have not gotten to the gym it' sjust been to crazy, but will go do my last session tomorrow with Laura.

Colby has moved in with us....I think it's going to be okay just an adjustment for all, it was hard on his mom when we went to get his clothes last night, I can't even imagine, but they were just not getting along at all, things will probably be better this way and they may actually be able to get closer, we only live about 5 minutes or so from each other so it's not that bad.

SUmmer stopped tumbling class she just wasn't wanting to do it so we stopped for the summer but she is going to bowl and swim on wednesday afternoons, she is so excited about that.

I'll post some pics of my hair at some point, guess I"ll have to get Summer to take a picture of it.

Where is everyone? Anyone heard from Joan?

Things are going okay, the 5K is this weekend.  Got in a run Sunday and yesterday and will tonight and hit the gym yesterday morning, and will go tonight, tried to get up and go this morning just didn't happen:)

Will rest tomorrow and hit the gym and run Thursday.

5 K time was 30 minutes 28 seconds, beat last years time!!

congrats on improving your time :)

I know its been a while.... but i guess i still fit in this group lol.   to back track a bit, i hit my goal of 126 back in oct 2007... Then my husband came home from deployment, and slowly but surely i gained back to 135 ish.. (glad i havent let it go further then that)  i've managed to maintain around there give or take 5 lbs ... although nowadays its a fight between 135 and 140..  but i am sooooooooooooo tired all the time, and have absolutely no motivation anymore.. i cant remember the last time i went to the gym..  oh yeah i do.. the main one was back in April of 2008, then i quit going.. They finally opened the fitness center here in housing back in march or april of THIS year, and i think i have gone once or twice :(  now the kids are home all day on summer break and i couldnt take them down there with me even if i wanted to so thats not gonna happen anytime soon.. I have plenty of dvds to work out with.. but cant seem to get moving off the couch unless its to clean house.. or quilt/make leis.. I would be okay with 135, if it werent for the fact that i feel like i am "skinny fat".. i look thin enough, but honestly i have no friggen muscles anymore.. and still HATE my stomach.   so today i started tracking my calories again, since i have been at least trying to get back on track that way (when my husband was home i was eating sooo much junk, and eating out WAY too much, but hes been gone awhile again, and i still havent gotten back on track).. and although I havent eaten dinner yet, it looks like I am back to my OLD ways (before i found Calorie Count) and am eating tooooo FEW calories again.. ugh.. i also have been wearing my heart rate monitor since 8 pm last night and even though its only 315 pm (so not a full 24 hours yet).. it says i am almost at 2000 calories burned already.. when at my height/weight/etc being sedentary I should naturally burn about 1590 a day (is this suppose to be a 24 hour period?? or just waking hours?? anyone know?? i seem to remember its a 24 hour period.. )....  so OBVIOUSLY I need to eat more, of the right stuff too lol.. so going to see about making sure i have at least enougth calories eaten, and start DRINKING WATER AGAIN, hopefully that will help get me into a better mind state and more energetic to get back to working out like I need to be..

well i hope if anyone is checking in here (looks like some of you still are occassionally from the posts lol) that you are doing alright...

okay 24 hours is up.. 2497 calories burned according to HRM.. so its GOTTA be waking hours only lol..  if i average 100 calories an hour.. that would put me at 1600 approx during waking hours.. (16 hours awake, 8 hours asleep.. who does that, honestly?? lol)..  so tomorrow I am gonna see what i do waking hours only :P.. good night clock.. good night phone.. good night little dollhouse..  good night moon....

welll according to my HRM I burn 1750 in a 16 hour period..  soooooo... iiuno lol..

welll still here... doing pretty good keeping track.. eating about 1350 calories a day so far..  any water weight i was retaining seems to be coming off, so thats a good thing.. i did real well on getting plenty of water on Monday, but yesterday was pretty awful...  one day at a time, right?

back to 135 (.8) this morning.  its amazing what can happen when you will yourself to stick to it.. now to lose that HARD LAST TEN POUNDS again so I will be happier (yeah right.. lol)

Hope everyone has a wonderful 4th of July weekend.. might take the kids to one of the Army bases out here, Kansas is playing there.. show starts at 530 - 700 .. so would probably go out there about 3:30 - 4ish so the kids can play some games, etc.. IF i go at all. Would have to eat dinner there, and you know how "GOOD" for you fair food is.. and  I really hate the crowds (especially driving out afterwards).. but to see the band and then fireworks after..  maybe..  Anyway, stay safe..

Allergy Remedies
Is It Possible to Go Natural?
The side effects of allergy medications keep some people from using them. Natural remedies can be a great alternative, but some are more effective than others.
