Hi my name is Sherry and I don't know how to control myself on the weekends!!! I swear one of these days......
Back on track today, going to have to make my weekends weekdays.....way too much eating out this weekend, which is something we don't do often, but the kids were on vacation with family and friends and hubby and I were all by ourselves another not too often thing so we went out with friends this weekend, it was great but my stomach is now protesting.....
No exercise either, but will hit the gym tonight.......
Brigett- we will all get back on track, like you I love good food and can't control myself, that's the issue I had this weekend, no half the time I wasn't hungry that's what's so sad.....
Sophie- can't wait to hear more from you, sounds like you have a plan and are being healthy meeting with a nutritionist and all that's great. My step son is extremely picky and has horrible eating habits that I know one day will catch up with him.....it's scary in a way, I think we all need to meet with a nutritionist.

I was doing good this weekend, til I stayed up late last night talking to my husband online, then i started snacking.. *UGH*... wasnt toooooo bad though.. had some toast with some pb & jelly.. then a cheese stick.. showed on the scale this morning, but I know it wasnt really enough to make me put on weight.. so maybe just a little bit too much sodium.. yada yada..
I still havent made an appt with the Personal Trainer.. My back is really aching.. or should i say my shoulder?? its located around my right shoulder blade.. Not sure what I could of done to it, except I noticed last night (or this morning) when I went to bed, I lay on that side, and kinda pop my shoulder forward... When I made myself lay flat on my back, it didnt hurt so much.. I dont know how long I should ache before I call my PCM.. Anyway EXACTLY ONE MORE WEEK til the kids start school!! WEEEEEEEEEEEE!!! oh, and I havent had a Monster yet this morning (been up for an hour)...feeling about how I normally feel even if i do have one.. of course, there arent any in the house, so pretty easy to NOT have one haha..
Brigitte~ it's like your counting down the days until your kids go back to school, LMAO. Mine don't go back until the end of Aug.....so wish it was sooner. I so agree we need the foodies anonymous....alcoholics stop drinking alcohol, but we can't stop eating food.
Sherry~ weekends are by far the hardest, I don't seem to over eat as much as I end up drinking a TON of alcohol. We all have our demons and we have to learn how to control them.
Sophie~ you are so right about the water, as I runner I need more then the avg person and most days I do not get enough. Last night I ended up haveing 24 oz before my run, 16 oz during my run and another 32 after my run and I still woke up dehydrated, granted it was a 9 mile run too.
I got my first gravel road run in for the year. I forgot how much I really like running gravel for mid distances (7-12 miles). I am able to tune out the world and not have to really focus on anything. Since the cross roads are every mile and there is 2 or less houses per mile stretch I can really mentally turn out (plus there is very little traffic). My ankle was a little sore when I woke up this morning I'm sure it's because the gravel was not level and the muscles had to work harder. This week I run 42 miles, which is just a few miles off of my peek (which I hit 3 times during this training). I'm feeling really good about my training, feel really strong. Now if I could just drop about 10 pounds I'd feel even better. That and if I'd make it to the gym....
This has been a horrible eating week for me....not saying anything else, going to try to be good over the weekend.
Only got 2 nights at the gym.....been a weird week in general.
SOunds like we are all battling right now, but we can do it.
had my first bad weekend in a while :( started off with Mcdonalds friday night, then BBQ next door with cake and ice cream sat night, and today has just gone all to ..... my back has been bugging me for over a week now and i dont have a clue what i did to it.. everytime it seems like it quit hurting, the next day its back just as bad.. :( *SIGH* how am i ever suppose to get back on track...
I cleaned house saturday that would be about all the exercise I did this weekend.
I went jogging tonight but couldn't run the pain out in my right side so finally gave up, it was so hot but got to get some runs in this week have a 4 mile "hot summer nights" run Saturday....I would like to finish decent.
Let's all get back on track.

My kids went back to school today, whoooooooooohooooooo :) and I spent all morning (til lunch time) cleaning my house.. then got to relax for about 1 1/2 hours without worrying they were gonna come right behind me and mess it all back up :P lol.. but thats the extent of my exercise.. and my back is still achy..ugh...

I am stuck at 145 for past 6 months or so yoyoing between 143 and 147....
hopefully can find motivation and help here!!!

Most of us know WHAT to do, but lack motivation (MEMEMEME).. and some of us have the motivation but lack the restraint... then there are those who have the restraint but just cant seem to get it right.. Maybe if we throw us all together we can do this :)

so, i am back on track with the food, after my awful weekend.. back is still achy but not quite as bad.. maybe soon i will be pain free?? its soo messed up though, i was feeling fine til i sat down here to type.. maybe its something to do with my posture when i am using my laptop??? grrrrrrrrr...

Thanks unicat for the motivation.... I know it seems I have all of it one day and none another..... I was at 157lb after my second baby and came to 150 and then stuck there for a while and now came to 145 and been there for some time. My problem is I do good for few days bring it down to 143 or so and then over the weekend or few days don't care about anything and then get it back to 147, then panic and start all over again.....
I am hoping this time I don't stop till I reach 135 and stay there for a while!!!!
I weighed 142 this morning my lowest since last 6 years......
It takes a lot of work and determination, I know.. I was thin as a board in high school.. then 7 pregnancies later (3 full term), and 18 yrs I topped out at 212. We moved to Hawaii (my husband is Military, and this is our 2nd time here) in May 2006, and i said ENOUGH!!! Enough of the yoyo'ing, Enough of not taking the time FOR ME.. ENOUGH!! By May of 2007 I was at 135 lbs. I did hit a low of 125 in Oct 2007, and everyone thought i was sick.. so I let it slide.. Plus my husband was home a bit more often and instead of allowing myself one cheat day a week, i found myself letting us go out to dinner more often, etc.. etc.. and then I quit exercising.. BAD MOVE.. since then, I have hung around 135 - 140, thankfully since i have gotten more on track with my eating (except this last weekend) it has been closer to 135. My MAIN issue is that I am REALLY small boned (my wrist is the same size as my 8 yr old daughter).. and when i lose weight, it seems to come off where i dont NEED it too.. which makes me look sick.. My STOMACH and my THIGHS are what need to lose it, and people say oh you are thin, you dont need to lose weight.. all they see are my skin and bones arms (from the elbow down to my finger tips I am QUITE thin looking) and my thin Lower legs.. they DONT SEE the parts I SEE!! Soooooooooooo... MY PLAN is to watch my food again til this back ache goes away then meet with the personal trainer at our community fitness center here in base housing, and see if SHE can help me.. (I know how to eat more protein less carbs, etcc... etc.. its just implementing that with a good exercise routine that will help me firm up those problem areas that has got me..

Got my run in tonight.....3.7 miles....39 minutes, was really hoping for better than that but whatever...I just really need to focus on getting my miles up for the 1/2 marathon in november......I am going to have to get a new route, would like a good 5 mile route so I'll probably drive that out in town tomorrow. I thought my new route would be at least 4 miles....oh well.
Eating has been good this week...thank goodness now to make it through the weekend and keep the exercise up.....I have been running but no weights at the gym this week, I need to start getting up in the morning to get the weights in and run at night.
It's such a crazy cycle......
Im right there with most of you! Im at 145 and I wanna reach 135. These last 10 lbs seem to be the hardest!! Ive been getting in lots of hardcore workouts, and my eating is pretty clean. Hopefully I see those last few lbs come off soon :)

My plan usually is to workout 6 times a week. I do 2.5 strength training workout at the gym and 3.5 days a week aerobic workout... but the problem seems to be controlling my hunger to eat only 1200-1300 cals.....
Today I have done good so far with only 600 cal and I have dinner to eat so....I am trying to incorporate more fruits and veggies to my diet which is sooo hard with kids and work that I don't get enough time to plan for myself... We generally cook everyday and don't rely much on refigerated and frozen stuff so I spend atleast an hour everyday cooking!!!!
1200 - 1300 calories?? and all that exercise? sounds to me (IMHO) that you arent eating enough, you are trying to cut back too much
You are probably right, may be thats the reason I pig out on the weekends and can't control my self....
When I checked my calorie burner at CC it said to eat 1200 cal a day to lose 1lb a week. I have a heart rate monitor and I have noticed that I burn anywhere from 250-400 cal a day, when I exercise!!
check and see what cc says you burn in a day.. probably about 1600 - 1700?? then when you add in 250 - 400 calories burned exercising.. that brings it up to 1850 (2000) - 1950 (2150) calories expended in a day.. so thats a deficit of 800 - 950 calories a day.. maybe try eating 1400 - 1500 for a bit.. on days you exercise.. see if that works.. sometimes just changing up the calories taken in will kick your metabolism.. or change up the type of exercise you are doing.. sometimes if you change your intake on a daily basis your body doesnt know what to do lol.. it doesnt get use to it.. like 1200 one day.. 1500 the next.. 1350 the next.. ya know what i mean?? there are soo many different ways you can try.. what you have to do is find the right area that works for you..
