everyday weigh in group!

Quote  |  Reply

Hello, I have been on CC for about 2 and a half years. I've gone up and down on weight, even finally reaching my goal in May! But I have lost track of myself since then, and I want to get back on track TODAY. I've been part of lots of groups and they start out great but then people eventually stop showing up. I know I need more consistent and frequent motivation than that, so for THIS group, I want to check in EVERY DAY. That means a daily weigh in and update on how we're doing, highs and lows, etc. I'm sure there are at least one or two others out there who could use this kind of structure. Can't wait to meet you!

______________

Monday July 12th-- 142.6 lbs

Where I'm at: After finally FINALLY reaching my goal of 135 in late May, I have really been slacking in every sense so it's no wonder I put 7.6 lbs back on. I know some of it will be water weight cause I've been eating a lot of processed food and not drinking enough water, so hopefully I can drop a few of those pounds fast.

The plan: Today I am going to drink TONS of water and eat only whole foods. Also going to take both dogs on nice long walks and hit the 4 pm weight lifting class which I love. I want to continue this plan through the week... going camping Sunday-Wednesday so I need to lock these new habits in before I'm in the woods with nothing to do but eat and nap.

HI I have been on CC for a while as well, but seem to go off and on, struggling with the same 10 pounds for the last 2 years.  I was diagnosed with RA and had to change my lifestyle. So I went from a very active (running, sports, etc) life, to struggling to get around. Therefore the weight came on fast!  Now I can walk and swim and need to learn to make that work.  I will be 50 (can't believe it) in one month and I so badly want to lose the 10 by then so I can wear my best clothes, and feel my best.

Today's Goal: limit intake to 1200 calories

Walk at least 45 minutes

Barriers: meeting friends for pizza - how will I do that and stay within my goal?  maybe I can pick the topping off the pizza??

Any suggestions how to eat pizza and stay on track?

Well up a pound. 153 No surprises. The demon sodium did me in. 2706 mg. I did a ton of exercising and had a huge calorie deficit of -1165 but still gained.  Keeping track of the sodium and carb intake helps. Oh well I dpo to stay out of the salted pistachios is another thing.

Later. Just got back from the gym and hopefully I'll go back again. Did 15 min of rowing, Nu-step for 50 min, treadmill 33.5 min and circuit training 28 min upper body (did 4 reps this time).

I haven't done the treadmill much- do any of you have any suggestions for a newbie like me?

Talk about see-saws, Rancho! Can't you get on a slide for once?  Keep trying - we all know about swings and roundabouts.

Hopefully, back to normal today. 135.2 - minimal gain which I'm happy with after the week I've had.  Now back on track.

Training for a 10K charity run on 18th November.(not bad for someone who could only run for 50 seconds without stopping in June of this year)  Want to try to lose 5lbs by then.  Off to do 6.5K now and not looking forward to it.  There's a bitter wind blowing - the Mistral.  Oh well, here goes!  Have a good day everyone.

hey guys! i just realized i didn't post on Friday. how strange it that. glad to see we're all trying to do our best.

today's weight: 168.0

if i didn't have a challenge to post of today i probably would have skipped weighing in today, but there it is. time for another crack down.

rancho - stick with it!

georgi - you amaze me

satyrs - just keep at it, it will come

161 today

Glad that it was a pretty decent weekend for eating.

Haven't weighed in today either, it's tough but getting better. Still reading the posts though :)

@georginaharman - You should be proud!!!

@satyrswoman - No shame in forgetting, just telling that you're living your life Smile

@karijos - Weekends are made for a bit of sinful moments Wink  And one of the reasons that I don't weigh in on Mondays... (or try not to haha...)

Hm - 139 again today. I ate healthy and drank lots of water yesterday, but I guess it might take a couple of days to get back on track. Spent 6 hours cleaning and organizing my office/craft room. It's awesome now. We didn't rearrange the furniture, but now there's a place for everything and everything is in it's place. I feel like painting in there now - some happy color like yellow or green. We will see.

Hope everyone has a super happy Monday!

139.4 - taking it in stride

@damanda - I love being organized (I'm weird that way)

@mauri - you showed the scale who the real boss is - good for you

@kari - woot!

@satyr - let's crack down together this week - I gotta get it back too

@georgina - be proud of how far you've come *high fives*

@annie - welcome!

confession time... broke my no late-night snacking streak last night . I was at my sister's place, she had a spread of snackies on the table and I gave in to the munchies. Oh well...I'm not too upset because I know I can do it. Back at it today - day one, here we go...

166 today which I am pretty happy about... I ate horribly all weekend, then on Sunday I figured out why... TTOM... Pretty glad to see  it because I thought I could be pregnant (Which wouldnt be a bad thing, just ahead of my schedule, but I am not.) Hope everyone has a good week.

I have weighed the exact same every day since my last checkin, which is why I didn't update. Last night was my anniversary dinner. I did not go over my 1500 calorie limit, but oh man did I eat a lot at once. I have put on quite a bit of water weight.

Yesterday: 129.5

Today: 132.5

Yipee today I weigh 150!!!! I'm stoked. I definitely will be in the 140's by my birthday.

Egads my body sometimes looses when I think it wouldn't. Yesterday was an alcohol day and I only had a calorie deficit of -4 calories. Lots of exercise though. I tried the treadmill  33 min, 50 min on the Nu-Step machine, Rowing  15 min and circuit training 28min (upper body) I decided to up my sets to 4.

Then my friend came by and she took me on a walk at the Audubon center. It was sooo beautiful. First time I have been there in all the years I have lived in Santa Fe. It was a beautiful fall day.

Hi everyone...  I didn't weight in today because I am a bit scared after my birthday extravaganza...  I had a great time with lots of eating out, movie theater popcorn, candy, and drinks, so who knows what the scale will say.  I am just going to drink water and start over today.  I will weigh in tomorrow.  I expect around 165 but am hoping for better.

Welcome all of the new posters!!

I guess after a couple of months of barely moving my body feels it is time to get rid of some weight.  160

@mauri - good to hear from you

@damand - isn't it crazy how quickly the weight can go haywire, but it seems to take so much longer to get back on track.

@runyour - i've made a good start. hope things are going your way as well

@elblume - good for you

@wik - i find checking in everyday helps me (sometimes) figure out where my downfalls have been. glad to know you're still hanging in there.

@mama - woot!

@amie -  it's good that you enjoyed yourself. now it's time to get back to work, no reason to be scared.

@rancho - how's school going?

@kari - crazy how the body works sometimes

today's weigth: 166.6

definitely ditched some water weight. hope there's more to go, but i'm not holding my breath. need to get back on track with eating more veggies.

195.2 from 197.6!  Finally the right direction.  I had a talk with my sponsor from OA yesterday, and I really managed to stay on track. Guess it paid off!

166 again today.

Well not surprising I bounce back up today to 153. At least I didn't go over 155. I ate 1488 calories yesterday and had a calorie deficit of -443. My carbs were not great 132gr and my sodium intake was too high 1.557mg. No wonder I bloated up 3.5 lbs.

I ended up  doing 45 min of Nu-step, 22.5 min of Rowing and 20 min of treadmill. Pooped out and didn't do any circuit training yesterday. I did get a good cardio workout on the treadmill. This morning I have Pilates and I will definitely get to the gym this afternoon.

Not All Processed Foods Are Created Equal
Fact: a diet containing whole, fresh fruits and vegetables is one of the best for a healthy mind and body. Although true, it can be hard to keep food fresh at home for longer periods of time, and if you have no time to shop every few days, boxed and canned foods become appealing. We often hear about heavily processed frozen dinners and processed foods worth avoiding, but there are minimally processed foods that do pack a lot of nutrition and may be worth having in the fridge or cupboard.
