everyday weigh in group!

Quote  |  Reply

Hello, I have been on CC for about 2 and a half years. I've gone up and down on weight, even finally reaching my goal in May! But I have lost track of myself since then, and I want to get back on track TODAY. I've been part of lots of groups and they start out great but then people eventually stop showing up. I know I need more consistent and frequent motivation than that, so for THIS group, I want to check in EVERY DAY. That means a daily weigh in and update on how we're doing, highs and lows, etc. I'm sure there are at least one or two others out there who could use this kind of structure. Can't wait to meet you!

______________

Monday July 12th-- 142.6 lbs

Where I'm at: After finally FINALLY reaching my goal of 135 in late May, I have really been slacking in every sense so it's no wonder I put 7.6 lbs back on. I know some of it will be water weight cause I've been eating a lot of processed food and not drinking enough water, so hopefully I can drop a few of those pounds fast.

The plan: Today I am going to drink TONS of water and eat only whole foods. Also going to take both dogs on nice long walks and hit the 4 pm weight lifting class which I love. I want to continue this plan through the week... going camping Sunday-Wednesday so I need to lock these new habits in before I'm in the woods with nothing to do but eat and nap.

140.2 - woah! don't know what's going on and not even gonna think about it...

Day one (again) no snacking - done!

yippy! 136.4 -- I guess 2 days of eating healthy and drinking lots of water has helped get me back on track.

I got caught up on my sewing "fix it" pile yesterday, and I made a sock spider for Halloween. Feels so good to get crafty in my clean office. I even have a little desk for my 2 year old so that we can craft together.

I'm feeling so much better. I'm supposed to follow up with my Dr via phone today to see what the next step is. I would love to get back to Roller Derby. Our off season training starts in November and I really need the practice!

Good luck this week everyone!

I finally weighed in this morning and it was not nearly as bad as i thought.  I came in at 162.8...  I feel much better now knowing that I wasn't too far over.

Day 1: 213

Day 2:214

Day 3:214 Thanks everyone for the welcome and support. I am not sure why I am not sleeping at night, but at least I am keeping everything else on track. Maybe its just the change in the weather here.

Day 4: 214. Held steady but not too bad. I am still exercising and drinking water.

Day 5 213

Day 6 214

Day 7 216 Shouted way to loud for that one pound loss and then ate badly I am assuming. Stayed with the exercise through the week though and feel things starting to fit looser but I tell you this yoyo stuff is enough to drive you crazy.

Whoops, there seems to be lots of ups and downs.  Well done Eeyiore and Damanda.  Keep focus, Runyourlife, it must drop again.

I've had raging toothache all day and had to go to the dentist as an emergency.  Can't eat or even drink without searing pain.  Not an abscess, as I thought, some enormous inflammation of the roots and gums, which goes right up to my ear canal.  Going to take a week to get better, so I suppose I'd better just grit my teeth (pardon the pun)

Too unwell to weigh in and spent a lot of the day in bed.  See what happens tomorrow.

Have a good evening everyone - and no late night snacking!

welcome nursegirl!

139.5 - seems to be persistent, this one. But still going strong, staying at around 17-1800 per day so I don't expect to drop a pound per week anyways. The trend goes down though, and that feels good Laughing

@sukirose - if your body consists of 65%-75% (I think that's a usable estimation) of water that's a lot of water! Even 2-3 pounds of water fluctuations are normal at any given time so don't punish yourself for that Smile  Otherwise, you'll go crazy...

@nursegirl - welcome to the land of ups and downs!

@eeyore - Good work staying on track!!

@satyrswoman - Gotta check in - don't want to fall of the wagon entirely!!

@karijos - Good going!

welcome nursegirl!

160 again today!  This was my October goal!  yay!

@eeyore - glad you found some focus

@elblume - better than up

@runyour - i'm trying not to think as well. lol

@damand - yay you!

@amie - good for you

@suki - hang in there, fluctuation is the name of the game

@gerogina - sorry to hear you're not well, hope all is better soon

@rancho - turn around dude!

@nursegirl - welcome

@mauri - yay for lower trend lines!

@kari - you goal girl! *laughs at own sad joke*

today's weight: 166.0

not back to 165 yet, but my food choices were not the best yesterday. need to get to the store for lunchy stuff. i forgot them when i was shopping for the house. doh!

196 from 195.2   but we had pizza last night, so I'm just thrilled it's not more!  Gotta focus today too...

Down again today : 135. I'm not sure why this loosing trend but I'm going to roll with it! Lots of Halloween sewing to get done today.  I'm sure that burns calories but isn't "exercise" so I will still be following Dr's orders :)

Have a great Wednesday!

139.2 - whatevah...

@damanda - doing good - I like sewing Halloween costumes - they're fun (and they don't have to be perfect)

@satyr - feeling chatty today?

@kari - yay for you - high five!

@nursegirl - welcome

165.5 I so cannot wait to get back into the 150's again. Thinking about going and trying on wedding dresses this weekend! :)

Well I am still at 153. I know I'll get below 150 again. It sounded so nice 149.5 even if it was for a nana second. I played hookie from my water aerobic class. So the only exercise I did yesterday was my pilates class. I think it is OK to have light exercise days from time to time.

Thanks for the welcomes! I really need to stick with this and get weight off. Finding it difficult to even do my job, and I turn 50 in January so it’s not going to
get any easier.

Today’s
weight 293.00

Goal
for the day: track all calories, walk 16 minutes on treadmill, not snack at
work, get some more sleep.

Barriers:
I’m tired and my knee hurts. I can easily use this as an excuse to not get on
the treadmill. When tired, it’s so easy for me to just snack, get frustrated
and give up. I do shift work, and crazy ones too. Where I will have a late
shift, then back again in the early am….so this makes scheduling exercise a
challenge….BUT I WILL DO THIS!

Welcome welcome nursegirl. We have a great group and I find that logging my food and weight on a daily basis keeps me accountable. You look so young -I can't even imagine you are going to turn 50 in January. You look 25 years younger. I am going to turn 65 in November. Yikes.

I would love to support you in any way I can. I love to exercise now that I am not lugging all this extra weight. At my heaviest I weighed 310 lbs (140.9kgs) Do you have access to a pool by any chance? Swimming offers really great  all round exercise and it is a lot less stressful on the knees. I had both knees replaced a year ago last Oct 11th and I did a lot of PT in the pool before branching out to the gym. They have these great styrofoam belts you can ear in the pool and it keeps you afloat so you can do water jogging in the pool. I think with any exercise routine the thing is to start with things you love to do and gradually build up.

The blogs and forums can be very helpful too. They have a great 12 week exercise program too. One thing I found incredibly helpful was to have a Bod Pod test. It is very accurate in measuring the %of body fat and % lean muscle mass. You can google Bod Pod and find locations where they have one. I have had 3 tests since April and it is an excellent way to determine a base line. BMI tool on CC is only so so and there is lots of room for error.

As a nurse you know very well all the health problems that come with morbid obesity. I had a score of health problems -borderline diabetes, high blood pressure, sleep apnea (needed to have night time oxygen and be on a CPAP machine) high cholesterol, bad knees, and atrial fib. Since having lost close to 160lbs all have these health problems have cleared up. I use to be on 15 meds and now I am on only 2! You can do it and have a full life without limitations. I wish you all the best, Sarah
