Ever feel like a giant fat loser? I do!

Quote  |  Reply

I went completely off the rails yesterday and emotionally ate so many bad things I am too embarrased to list them but let's just say Donuts and Doritos were involved...

I feel like such a failure and weight almost 2 pounds more than I did at weigh in on Sunday.  I was doing well for 2 months and now I don't feel like I can get anywhere.

Do you ever just want to give up?  Have you been able to pull yourslef out of that?

:(

Please don't give up! Those 2 pounds aren't real fat....just food or water weight brought on by the extra stuff you ate.

I've had one of those days too....and oddly Doritos usually figures in there somewhere! Lol!

You just have to jump right back in and get back on track. It's a new day and no amount if guilt or regret will change yesterday. Don't worry....it won't ruin all your hard work up to now :)

You can do this!

Thank you for your kind words.  Doritios are the snack of Satan!

Don't give up!
Right now you might feel bad but I promise it will get better. It always does. And when it happens, you will remember these days and feel awesome because you made it through.

Doritos are eeeevil! A few years ago I used to eat 1 bag daily Embarassed.
But now, whenever I go to the store and feel like having chips and stuff I just look at the Nutrition Facts and just 1 portion is scary enough to make me walk away from them. Still I will have some junk every now and then. I choose the day and amount but more importantly I make sure the rest of my nutrition is fine.

Awh!

You can't be perfect all the time!
You have to be able to treat yourself every once in a while so that way you won't have days like these that make you regret everything that you did.

My one friend treats herself every 3 months to a Harvey's cheese burger, onion rings and a large pepsi. And she's a personal trainer!

You're only human.

Happy Doritos fact.....a Doritos loco taco at taco bell only has 140 calories!!!! Just sayin....... :-) This according to a restaurant app I have...hope it's correct!

Yeah, the 2 pounds is probably water weight from the satanic Doritos and their high sodium content. It will go away in a day or two. And don't eat anything from Taco Bell! It's not real food!

When I have a bad day (mine are usually Oreo-centric), I try to wake up the next day and pretend that I have just decided to start eating healthy. It's like hitting the reset button. I also think that, as long as I don't do it very often and can get back to eating mostly healthy things, those days might actually help me out by boosting my metabolism. (That may be a beautiful lie, but it seems to work for me!)

Don't give up. Eating healthy makes your life so much better in the long run. You'll have a longer, happier life. And remember that the longer it takes you to lose weight, the less chance you'll gain it back. (This is what I tell myself.) Good luck!

I picked myself up from my sodium and sugar coma and kept a decent diet for the rest of the week. Down a pound!!!!!

My day is exactly like that today. I'm in high school and I'm severely obese. I have tried different programs since 1st grade. It's always the same, lose a lot of weight and gain more than I lost back!

If you ate these at your house then my question would be why are there donuts and Doritos in your house?

You need to use will power and rise above. Let me give you an example.

"Ummm that cheese burger smells good and has bacon", that laziness weakness inside of you is telling you to go eat it. So you go and eat it. Right after you eat it you're fat and your dispointed in yourself. So now you're depressed and fat, alot worse than you were.

If you look at the burger in a weaker state, you can apply will power to beat it. meaning you don't look at the now you invest in the future. You don't look at the hamburger and how it tastes and smells good. You must look past that. Thinking ok, if I continue to eat that I'll get fatter, I won't stay on my goals of my transformation. What's going to happen is that I'm going to be depressed too, I'm going to have that negative energy inside of me. When you think of it that way you don't see how good the cheese burger tastes, you see the negative side of it, that's how you view the cheese burger at is weakest state. Now looking at it that way is not so tempting now is it?

Instead of eating the hamburger you eat a healthier option like a chicken breast. Both feel you up but what you get out the chicken breast is a sense of pride that you didn't give it on temptation. Small little victory, but it felt good. So next time it happends you remember how good it felt which makes it easier to do it again.

True words Camster!  I just bought some new clothes one size smaller then I was 3 months ago :)

I'm only buying stuff on sale cause these won't fit me for long!!!!
