**CLOSED** FRIENDS with a few to lose but a fitness focus.
Well, basically...we're not quite maintaining but not quite losing. Just here to support one another with the goals of:
- Eating healthy-without loads of deprivation
- Staying active- to sculpt the sexy body that we want
- Support one another in LIFE and not just health/fitness (we are friends after all)
So, let's post, joke, give support, and have fun as we take this journey to a better body and more self confidence!
Kaley--yeah but I'm not going anything FUN with the time between when I leave and when I would have left AND I couldn't do my usual workout so it's not a great trade off. Darn it--ate all of my food--4 more hours till lunch--Gah--must distract myself.
Lift went well this morning! Officially halfway done with Stage 1. Still in love.
Sara- glad you are enjoying it.
Did my workout last night and this morning I had eggs and toast. Now luch is a chicken sandwich with hummus instead of mayo. I am heading down south to my bf's sisters house tonight cause we are having his moms bday there tomorrow. Not gonna lie I wish I could just stay home and loaf around. It will be fun though.
It's been a stressful morning - there was a beeping around the house and we couldn't figure out if it was a fire alarm or the security system because this is Harry's friend's place that he's just staying in for the summer, and Harry went outside to let the dogs out and all of a sudden the security system was blaring and going off and I had no idea what to do, so I had to just wait until Harry got back and he called the front gate to ask and they sort of walked him through it but it took like 20 minutes and got the dogs all riled up and Nugget got scared and peed on the carpet haha ANYWAY what I'm trying to say is it's 11:30 and I'm already exhausted haha.
Breakfast - Coffee, york creamer, two slices cinna-raisin ezekiel, 1 tbsp reduced fat crunchy PB
Snack - 3 cups kale chips
Lunch - One heart of romaine, 2 tbsp Ken's Lite Creamy Caesar, 1 tbsp grated Parm, 1 Swai fillet, and for "dessert", one honey oat rice cake.
Planning on doing HIIT on the treadmill soon - it's been SO crappy out lately and no sign of it clearing up so as much as I'd like to do this outside, I don't think it'll happen.
sara- omg hectic! hope things are back to normal now.
chrissy- way to go on the deadlifts and the weekend. huge victory in my book.
uggghh more dental problems that i have to deal with today. it sucks so much. i've been kind of stress eating over it. i need to chill out. yesterday i did a little workout of a run (i did a 9:52 mile) and some calisthenics. my plan was to go to the gym early this morning, but that just did not happen. if i feel up to it then i will go later, but a rest day wouldn't hurt. this morning i had cheerios with whey and almond milk. also i had some banana and pb as i made myself a pb and banana sandwich for lunch. now i am drinking coffee with truvia, hazelnut and half and half it's soooo sweet and delicious hehehe.
Kaley--Aaaw I hope things get sorted out for you nd the stress passes!!
@Chrissy - Yay what do you deadlift? I am at 65 right now. Hit 95 on my squat today though which I was proud of!
Yesterday I did my HIIT with the zombie app and today I did Stage 1 Workout A (I'm officially into the second half of the stage!) I really want to be able to do normal pushups (flat on the ground) but I started at 30 degree (on the bench) and I can't seem to swing it. It's difficult.
@Chrissy - Holy **** I'm only at 65 haha I am such a weakling!
chrissy- that's so rad!!! deadlifts are my arch nemeses. do you do 8 reps at 150?
sara- i think i only got up to like 70. deadlifts KILL my legs (in a good way) i guess i should do them more often.
did a 5mile run this evening. got to the gym and had them put the hockey game on right in front of me and just kinda zoned on that. saw a bunch of people i knew at the gym tonight as well. random, but that's pretty typical in this town especially when you go to the gym at least 3x a week for a few years. dineer was a bowl of homemade pinto beans and spanish (brown) rice with cauliflower.
Sara--you are NOT a weakling. I lift heavier than most people our size. You're doing great--also its a matter of figuring out your goals. I kind of made it a mission to lift as heavy as possible and I want to break 200.
Kaley--great run!! I often do a little cardio sesh after work.
Well, today we are going to lunch somewhere I don't want to go. I'll be agreeable and just push food around my plate then eat when I get back to the office. I'm going to do a long run today + 10 min lifting. That's the plan at least.
@Kaley - I like zoning out while I run, which is why I love the zombie app haha it removes me from the fact that I'm on the treadmill.
@Chrissy - OH okay, that's still amazing but I was like jeeeeze haha.
Rest day for me today. Made homemade hummus yesterday so I just had some with pretzels as a snack. Breakfast was make-shift First Watch Floridian French Toast. The only things different were I had two slices of toast instead of three, I didn't have wheat germ to top it with, I omitted the powdered sugar even though I had some, and I used sugar-free syrup because I didn't have blueberries in order to make a compote. Still very yum!
chrissy- ok i kinda thought so because that is A LOT of weight. either way you're killing it!
sara- yeah i like when sports games are on because i don't really have to read the captioning in order to follow along. yum. i love french toast. i don't make it often enough.
this morning i had 1.5 bananas dipped in pb greek yogurt and a coffee with half and half, hazelnut and truvia. pretty filling. i am getting ready for lunch in 40 minutes though. i am going to have tuna salad ala my bf mixed with WW pasta. i'm looking forward to it. tonight is yoga and my friend is going to meet me over there. i think dinner will be more beans and rice with cauliflower.
@Chrissy - Haha I still had kiwi, strawberry and banana on top though! It was roasted red pepper hummus made with chickpeas, garlic, EVOO, roasted red pepper, paprika, red pepper flakes, salt, and lemon juice.

Uum yes please!! Sounds delightful --you need tahini for the hummus :) that French toast would be soooop yum--adding flaked coconut would make it a tropical fiesta --sub pineapples for berries.
chrissy- yes peanut butter mixed with yogurt is soooo satisfying! yum that tropical french toast sounds delish. i LOVE coconut. i like to spread coconut oil on cinnamon raisin toast.
sara- dang that hummus sounds so bomb!
