Hal Higdon's Novice 10k Training Program
I am going to be starting this program on Sunday. I want my free day to be Saturday because that is the day I am busiest with the kids. Last time I did this program I printed out the chart, taped it to the wall, and wrote what I accomplished for each day right in the little box. I actually completed this and was able to go further. Then I got pregnant and stopped. I have A LOT of baby weight to lose and am going to try this program out again.
If anyone would like to do it with me for moral support and motivation, you are welcome!
Looks ambitious! I usually do the Couch to 5K program that starts out as walk/run intervals and gradually progresses over an 8 week period to all running. Of course Insanity is taking up all my time right now!
Yep, it was a lot of work, which is the point, I guess! I had a lot of success with this program when last I did it. I was participating in a Biggest Loser contest at the time, and I lost about thirty pounds and also was able to jog 10k. I even tried to jog 13 miles by the end of the program and I could do it. Only once, but still. Good luck with Insanity. (I came in third place for that Contest, btw)
