I'm doing this right for the first time!

Quote  |  Reply

So for the first time in my life, I am actually listening to my body. When I am hungry I eat, and I stop when I am full. Never in my life have I been able to this before. Usually, whatever food I put on my plate I would finish. I would eat by the clock instead of eating when I was hungry. Now that I have started to change, I am seeing the weight steadily come off. So far, in one week I have lost 2lbs! I just wanted to share my happiness with all of you.

I think that is so true and am trying to do the same, instead of eating at certain times of the day Im trying to listen to my body and see if im actually hungry I hope it helps me like it did for you to drop the lb.

Just today I actually made a resolution of sorts to make an effort to listen to my body rather than eating out of boredom (a bad habit of mine) or just because it was time.

I think so frequently we get caught up in the cycle of, "Oh, it's 12:00, time for lunch," or "Well, I'm not hungry any more, but I still have half a roll and some potatoes on my plate, so I'll eat them," or, in my case, "I'm not hungry but I have nothing to do, so I'll snack on something." I'm hoping that this change will help me not only to get the last bit of weight off but help me keep it off.

I'm so glad you've found a way that's working for you, congrats and keep up the good work!

I am trying this starting today actually. I am in college and my schedule is always changing - and instead of trying to schedule in eating where it is "supposed" to go I am going to eat intuitively and listen to my body. I am hoping the last 6-10 pounds FINALLY come off.
