I'm like a damn yoyo!

I do a good job, run... eat well... swear to live my life like this and get down to high 50's or low low 60's.  Then I go away for a vacation and let it slip.... just enough to lose control.  And before you know it - I'm back up at 175lbs!!!

This is the third time I've done this.

I'm sick of it.  How can I get motivated and stay motivated to not lose control.  Its almost like the taste of fast food is like a drug.  I can't stop making un healthy choices.

I need to figure this out!

Don't take a vacation from your healthy lifestyle when you are away.

You might want to change the kind of vacation you are taking - if you go to an all-inclusive resort, it can be difficult to resist the unlimited cocktails and food (or maybe you think you need to get maximum value for your dollar by eating as much as possible!!)  If you go to an all-inclusive resort, try to get off the resort, or try some of the sports activities, rather than just lying on the beach - or if you do lie on the beach all day, realize that it's okay to skip dinner because you haven't expended much energy throughout the day, or just enjoy the fresh fruits and salads that are always a part of the buffet.

But most of all, you need to change your mindset - the fact that you let everything go on vacation seems to indicate that you still have a dieting mindset, so you let yourself take a break from it.  Once those new habits just become part of your normal routine, then it should be less of a problem to just eat normally when you are away from home.

you have to make it a lifesyle change, and yes fast food is addicting, they put chemicals in it, if you want a burger make it from scratch, don't eat it every day though. allow yourself only the best quality home made sweets, but not every day, if you really really want to eat something you know isn't the best for your health, work it into your calorie allowance. you can have that homeade brownie every once in a while, as long as it is not processed and you are not going over your calories. if your diet is to strict then of course you will not be able to stick with it. when you really eat healthy unprocessed whole foods, you will start to crave them and all the other **** you eat won't seem as appealing. think of yourself as a car, you want the best fuel for your body think of your health. your body will thank you. AND MOST OF ALL REMEMBER, ALL THAT PROCESSED AND FAST FOOD IS DEFINETLY ADDICTING, SUGAR IS DEFINATLY ADDICTING. so stop eating that ****.

definitely try and look at this as a lifestyle change and know that there are going to be vacations, holidays, etc. along the way.  we all have our moments...it's what you do after these moments that matter.

The question is, what are you eating when you go on vacation? What changes do you make in your routine that adds all that weight?
