Let's do it. Although I think a more healthy goal within this time-frame is 40lbs. If we attain a 1000-1200 calorie deficit everyday, we can do it.
I'll see your 50 and raise you 51 ![]()
I'm 280 as of today. Will log each week
This is just a little over my initial goal for June 1st (40lbs), so it's just the push I need to keep me REALLY motivated. I'm in! :)
Fabulous! I firmly believe that we can do it!

UPDATE Jan 24 2012:
I've been religious about calorie counting and working out, but I recently stepped on the scale and I GAINED 4 pounds... so I've put the stupid scale away until I can literally see a difference in my physique and/or gains in my exercises.
I got my Gymboss Max in the mail and (since my car isn't working right now) I stayed home to use it to kick my ass with an interval workout I found on youtube.
I hope everyone else is doing well.
Hi Everyone!
I have not been sticking to the right food or calorie counting for the past 4 days but I have been exercising. I got a new treadmill and I have been making sure to log in atleast 30 minutes a day with incline. I know it isnt enough but I am totally stressed these days. I kind of spiral off when I am stressed and don't calorie count, do any of you have any ideas of what could be done?
Its the first time I ask for community support when I wander away from my diet, maybe this time it will work instead of building myself for failure by dwelling over what went wrong! Any help would be appreciated :)
Give yourself a quick pat on the back for a good day or good tough decision. And surely be happy if you had a good day, but try to start thinking that those good days and tough decisions are your normal expectations. Small goals add up and soon you'll realize you've incorporated those small goals into your everyday lifestyle and you'll be setting higher goals for yourself.
Good or bad day yesterday, start every day with a clean slate. Forget about yesterday's spicy cheetos or whatever is stressing you out. When you're on the treadmill, it's all for you. Give yourself priority. Be selfish because you're transforming into a better you and that's very important.
Want to challenge yourself and burn fat fast in your 30 minutes on the treadmill?
30-Minute HIIT Treadmill Session- 5 minute light warm-up
- Run at 12mph (19km/h) for 30 seconds (hands off!)
- Walk easy for two minutes (don't stop moving).
- Repeat cycle seven more times (eight total).
- 5 minute cool-down
- If the running interval doesn’t fry you, use a slight grade, faster run, longer run, or all three.
I'm new to these forums but I would really like to participate in this challenge. I just started my weight loss journey this week and my start weight is 260. Last year I joined a biggest loser contest at my local gym and came in second place at 38lbs lost in 3 1/2 months but that did not last once the contest was over. I now weigh 3 pounds more than I did when I started the contest!
My new goals are to work out atleast 4 times a week for an hour and to eat as many whole foods as I can while staying below my calorie goal (1400-1600)
Is this challenge still open?
Count me in! I have just put health at the front of my to do list and am excited about it again. i was 292 and now 287. I haven't had the slightest bit of motivation in a LONG time so these few days are definately a blessing. Thanks in advance for your support and i'm here for ya'll too if you need it. We can do this alone and we can most definately do this together. Good luck and good health EVERYONE :)
The side effects of allergy medications keep some people from using them. Natural remedies can be a great alternative, but some are more effective than others.
