This is part 3 of a weight loss challenge (the original was Spring Challenge) and part 2 of the Summer Challenge. Summer Challenge Part 2, July 1st to Sept 1st 10-15lbs. You can join new for this but some are returners :)

Start is July 1st but I am posting the thread for sign ups.

Guidelines:

-Beginners post (post anytime: before/during the start of the challenge (group will be closed to new people on the 2nd or 3rd of July), 'start weight for the challenge/group', 'goal weight for the end of August/beginning of September'.

-Measurements are an option to post too.

-'Weigh in weekly' and update with any 'additional information' as you like (daily/weekly whenever)

-End post (optional), 're cap stats' and end with any additional information as you like.

My birthday was on Friday and I indulged a bit... ate lunch and dinner out and kept portions small and sensible but still salty, sweet and bit greasy. I enjoyed it though, thoroughly! I'm already back down one pound since yesterday too, so it's all water weight... =)

I got off track and just off program. I'm disappointed since I'm back up to 175 after a low of 172.4. I really hope I didn't gain over 2 lbs in one week. I just can't believe that I overate that much since I wasn't going wild more just not tracking and not working out. Anyways I'm back to logging now and hope to get back where I was quickly.

Sorry I haven't posted in a while. I have been trying not to obsessively count, it was really stressing me out.  I just make sure I get proper portions of everything and keep estimates in my head, it seems to be helping! I'm not sure how long I'll be able to do this before I have to start counting again...

I am sure it isn't that bad either I mean on days I break even I feel like I surplussed but know I didn't it is weird that way.

Yeah, sometimes we need a break, when too busy I guesstimate and throw a number on  cc just for peace of mind even if it is not accurate cause just can't be that nit picky all the time especially when it isn't the easiest food to log (like food out, at a friends house, etc).

Starting Weight Jan 1st - 306

Starting Weight - 7/3/12 - 272.40

Today's Weight - 8/22/12 - 256.2

GW - 9/1/12 - 247.00

 

I have been stuck at 256 now for the last week... I haven't changed my eating habits or my exercise habits, if anything I am working out harder.  Hopefully this is just a plateau and I should fall off it here shortly and reach my goal weight.  10 more days to reach the goal weight, and I think I'll get there.  I saw 251 on the scale for the first time in 3 years on Saturday, but that was after a heavy workout and I think my plateau may be due to me recuperating/water weight before it lets go of the next few pounds.  I'll check back in on Saturday and hopefully have some good news.

As of this morning I'm back down to 173.2, so I'm hoping to get to 172 something soon, if not 171. I really really want out of the 170s!! Honestly I don't even know how many years it has been since I was in the 160s.

So, 1 more week to go....I might just make my goal weight by a thin margin, but I set out to lose more than 10 lbs which I've managed already. This is / was a great challenge.

SW July 3rd: 194 lbs.

CW Aug. 26th: 181.7

GW Sept.1st: 180 lbs.

I am 45 years old and am 5'6".

So awesome so many are going to or very closely make their targets, woot!! :D

I think next time I'm going with an easier goal! So a little less than one week left and I'm hoping to hit at least 171.8. :p

Had a great non-scale compliment the other day. A friend said I was the incredible shrinking woman! My start weight was 184 so I don't feel like I've lost that much but I guess others notice more than I do.

Got there with a few days to spare.  I honestly don't remember the last time I weighed under 200 lbs.  I would guess sometime in the summer of 1986.  I played sports Freshman year in HS @ 206-209 lbs.  Shooting for seven more pounds by the end of September.  That would give me a 100 lb loss in a year.

Had a great non-scale compliment the other day. A friend said I was the incredible shrinking woman! My start weight was 184 so I don't feel like I've lost that much but I guess others notice more than I do.

 I was standing around talking to a good friend on Friday and in the middle of the conversation she said " You are getting so damn skinny!" That felt good!

No loss this week, but I believe I will hit the goal next week.  This was the first week that I have been off my fluid pills, so I was worried about water retention this week. 

Start 7/1 = 199

Target 9/1 = 189

Today = 199.7
