Lost 42lbs!!!! Yay me!!!

Hey guys, I'm super excited and am feeling accomplished and just wanted to share and hope to motivate! I've been heavy for most of my life and after having 2 kids I was at my heaviest 270lbs! I was really the joke of the family as far as being "fat" went. It was so bad that my grandmother would use me as a point of reference. For example "do you want to end up fat like her?". This year I made a vow to myself that I would get in the best shape of my life before I hit 30. So from January I've been exercising hard, eating right and of course faced some weight challenges. I never gave up. There was a time where I didn't see results on the scale but pushed forward b/c in the end I felt better. I decided to try Insanity even though people said it wasn't for "big people like me!". Today I finally completed the program and went from 270 to 228. I have a long road still ahead of me and I'm just really excited about my life. We recently had a family BBQ and the best part was....I no longer was the "fat girl". As a matter of fact I was the smallest one there. At first I honestly felt like I couldn't do this and here I am. So if I can do it...anyone can! Thanks for your support and motivation. My ideal goal weight is 140! P.S. what worked for me was patience in knowing I will see results. Good luck to you all on your journey :)

Michele_Petroviich : Thank you! please feel free to share your story or road blocks. We may be strangers but we're definitely supporters :)

Yes that is awesome!!!

Wow! This IS REALLY inspirational!

It always irritates me when I hear or read about people's families being insensitive about someone's struggles with weight.. It just abhors me. Really. For many people, those hurtful comments exacerbate their situation, causing them to gain more weight and become further alienated.Which is all the more reason why what you have achieved is even more impressive to me!

Congratulations on the 42 lbs! I'm planning on doing Insanity with my mom this summer; its good to keep hearing positive things about it.

Keep it up! Your strength contributes to mine! ^_^

persp3ctive: thank you so much for your feed back. Insanity was the hardest workout I've ever done but the results speak for themselves! Hope you and your mom enjoy the program! And I absolutely agree with you in regards to the negativity. It doesn't help anybody and is very discouraging.

What a great story!  No offence but your Grnadmother sounds like a real ****.
