I've never been completely comfortable with my legs above my knees. Even after I lost my first 40lbs I thought they looked rather flabby. I started running in April and I noticed that my thighs thined out a lot but I still wasn't happy. For the last two weeks I've been going to the gym and doing a lot of "leg-work" over the weekend I noticed that I could see well defined muscles move under skin of my thighs when walked (I have a wall of mirrors in my living room). It was the most astounding thing. For the first time ever, I think I am happy with my thighs!

Sorry, no pictures... Yet ;)

YAY! Congratulations on redfining your body and seeing the results!

I run a lot, but recently I started doing a lower body workout routine. I was in the changing room of Target the other day, trying on clothes, and I caught a glimpse of my leg and I said....holy crap, what is that?! hahaha, definite thigh muscles! Isn't it great?! Keep up the good work on your lovely legs! Cool

I have always had large legs.  I danced and did gymnastics when I was young, and I used to be pretty proud that I had so much strength in them.  As I aged and grew fat they turned to flab.  Since starting the Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred, in addition to the daily treadmill walks & counting calories, I've notice that there is a little definition in my thighs---and they are slimming!

Good job, keep it up :-)

How wonderful! Congratulations!

This is great inspiration, too! I think most women and girls are unhappy with their legs. ^-^ I know I am. Please post a picture of your lovely legs soon!

Every time I sit or squat down I see my thigh muscles bulge and get so happy, but I don't think I'll ever be happy with the way they look sans jeans- the more toned I get, the more skin hangs!  My thighs are floppier now than they were when they were stuffed with fat.  I guess that's the con to weight loss, right?

Well done!!

I feel exactly the same way about my arms. They were always flabby and I hated them, even after I lost weight.  I started working out and now I can see real muscles starting to show themselves. It makes me giddy :)

YAY! Congrats!

I have lost almost 50 pounds, I too am starting to see the muscle tone, but it is under my loose flabby skin. Any tips on how to get rid of that skin, it is really bumming me out...

Seriously.  When I abduct my arm you can see all those tight, bomb ass muscles, and then when I put my arm straight I've got enough skin hanging off it to graft a full body burn victim.... sigh.

Same here!!! I KNOW I have a good amount of muscle built up - I can see my pecs/shoulders flex when I bring my arms forward, etc. But I have TERRIBLE flapping upper arms (among other things, but the arms are he worst). I have to literally grab an (overflowing) handful of flab by my triceps and pull it back to tighten it enough so I can see my bicep muscles. If I wore anything shorter-sleeved than a t-shirt (which I don't), I have to keep my arms down at my sides. I could set sail with these things... Ugh.

Congratulations! Keep up the good work, it pays off in the end. Good luck meeting your future goals!!!! Smile
