Need to lose 28lbs!!

Quote  |  Reply
I'm not going into the nitty gritty of why I'm back up to 168lbs and where I went wrong, because I just can't be bothered to tell the long story!

But the matter of fact is I need and want to get back down to 140lbs which is a comfortable weight for my short 5ft 3 frame.

Looking to consume 1350 calories a day, with regular exercise at the gym 3-4 times a week too, then decreasing calories down to 1200 ONLY if weight loss plateaus.

Calorie calculators are telling me to consume between 1,000 and 1,100 calories a day, but I don't wanna drop below the minimum requirement of 1200.

Anyone have any advice on how many calories they think I should be eating?

I reckon your plan looks pretty good for what you want.

When I was with WW a long time ago (they have since changed their formula) an adult female was given a target of 1200 calories.  Basically each day 3 bread/starch servings, 3 fruit, min 2 cups veg, 2 cups nonfat dairy, 6 servings (about 1 oz) protein, 3 teasp fats + 8 glasses water.   If you sort of stick to those servings, you really can't go too far wrong.  It is usually the between meal snacks or portion sizes that are the downfall of many dieters.

I have just over 30 lbs to lose and am trying to keep to 1200 by making heathy choices, but not stressing if I go over a bit.  I am trying to establish a pattern of making conscious food choices for life, no just the shortterm.

Good luck with your plan.
