Question to 5'2-5'4 women within 115lbs to 125lbs:What size are you/measurements?

Quote  |  Reply

I'm 5'3 and I fluctuate between 118-121 most of the time. Occasional low of 116 and an occasional high of 123.

My waist is about 24-25 inches, my bust-33/34, my hips-33/34. I'm mostly proportional with somewhat broad shoulders and am muscular.

Gap: Size 2 short

Banana Republic: zero regular (somehow fits better than a 2 short there)

Old Navy: 1 short

Express: the 2 short is a little loose but the zero is too tight.

H and M: 4

Jean size: 26-27.

Junior size-mostly 5's.

I'm just really curious how the same weight can mean different sizes. It's fascinating!

I know, it amazes me how much sizes can vary, even on people of similar height and weight. For instance, at 5'2 and right around 115 lbs, 37-26.5-33 (I know, I'm very disproportionate, lol) I wear:

Gap: Size 0 short

Old Navy: 0 or 1 short

I also have a pair of jeans that are a size 4.

In dresses, because I have a disproportionally large bust compared to my waist and hips, I wear a 4 or 6.

Hi!

I'm 5'4" and about 115 lbs.  My measurements haven't changed in a while (weight loss is slow) but I think they are: Waist 25 in. Hips: 34 in and bust 33 in.  I think I need to go shopping sometime soon.  I have an Old Navy size 4 pair of jeans and they are too big.  I've tried on some pants at Target, in the junior's section, and I was a size 3.  I see everyone else is fitting into 0's... Not fair!

Licorice

I'm 5'2 and about 120lbs...measurements are 32-26.5-36 (small chest! :-O) I generally wear a size 4, except for places like Old Navy that run big...there I'm a size 2. And, of course, yes, pants are always short. :-P

Hiya!

Im 5"3.5, 122 lbs and my measurement are:

Bust 28

Waist 23

Hips 35

Im from the UK so i dont go by the USA clothes sizes. In the UK i wear size 6-8 (2-4 USA) top and size 8-10 (4-6 USA)  jeans/trousers etc. My clothes are so much bigger than everyone else who replied even though i has smaller bust and waist. My hips are larger in comparison though AND i have an athletic build.

I want to lose ~ 20 lbs so i can wiggle into a size 4 (USA 0) =)

Hey, I'm 5'2" and fluctuate between 115-118.  I'd prefer to fluctuate between 110 and 113, but that's another story.

Anyway, my measurements are:

Bust: 33 (wear a 34C or D bra)

Waist: 25

Hips: 35

Usually wear jeans from Express size 0 short or 2 short.  Currently the 2 shorts fit a little bit better, but if I lost a couple pounds the 0's would fit again.

pre ed i was 5'3'' an 114-118 most days i was a size 2 in american eagle... and a 3 in pacsun i dunno about the rest?? i was in a 34C bra though:) and i always got smalls in tops

I am about 118 and have been stuck there for a while. Arrgh!

Bust: 30.5

Waist: 24.5

Hips: 36

So yeah, I am a pear. I have HUGE hips and thighs, although my arms aren't doing much better these days... I really wanna lose 10 pound get down to about 108. I look my best then but the weight refuses to shift. sigh...

I am also in GB but I buy some American outfits and I am mostly a 2-4 in the US and a 6-8 UK. Jeans US are 26. Top can sometimes be 0...

Compared to you, I'm a super pear! I suppose that makes my thighs and hips humongous. I'm 5'2, 123, and my measurements are:

Bust: 29.5 in
Waist:  26 in
Hips: 37 in
Widest part of my body (a bit below my hips): 97 cm = 38 in

I have absolutely no chest. I don't really mind, because it makes so many things easier, but I'm so disproportional.

I'm an extra small in shirts, a 0-4 in dress sizes depending on the brand, but a 6 to 8 in pants :C

I'm  5'3", fluctuate between 118lbs and 123lbs, and I usually wear a 2-4 in womens, 3-5 in juniors, small or extra small for non-numerical based sizing.

my shape is a pear with broad shoulders? I don't really have a bust to speak of, but I have fairly broad shoulders (like a swimmer or gymnast) and the hips of a pear, so maybe a nonstandard hour glass? I don't know.

bust: 32 in.

waist: 25/26 in.

hips: 35/36 in.

variation dependent upon water retention, etc.

Height = 5' 4.25"

Weight = 125ish

waist = 27

bust = 34 (underbust = 31, overbust = 32)

hips = 37

shoulders are pretty narrow. Tops are always too loose in the shoulders, but if I get them smaller, they're too tight in the torso...

upper arms = 9.5

thighs = 20.5 (and lots of muscle)

pants = 4-6 US

shirts = small

Huh.  I always thought of myself as an apple but I guess I'm more of a pear.  When I was overweight, I had a very top-heavy figure, and I hated it.  So I guess I still see myself that way...

If you lost 20 lbs, you would be underweight.

ETA: That thought brings back memories of when I weighed 100ish lbs and was severely restricting.  I was shopping for clothes in Walmart by myself.  I remember thinking 'Yay, I'm a size zero.  And I feel like I'm going to black out any second.  I feel cold and weak and panicked.  I could pass out and die here in walmart and nobody would even notice.   This is NOT WORTH IT.'

It's like a classic tuna casserole, only easier, cheesier, and lower in fat. An all-around winner!
