You might have to post your favorite snack under 100 calories or tell everyone the nicest compliment you have recieved so far. Message me with your ideas and recieve honorable mention as the week's BIGGEST SCHMOOZER!
This group is all about keeping that postitive attitude throughout your journey. It doesn't matter if you are just starting out or are maintaining, everyone needs someone to lean on now and then. So SCHMOOZE & LOSE with your friends and stay motivated!
WHAT TO EXPECT (GUIDELINES):
- This is a 10 week motivational group. If you feel you cannot endure the full 10 weeks, message me and let me know I don't hound you.
- You must post a Start and Finish weight. If you're not up to posting your weight on certain weeks, that's fine. This is all about staying motivated.
- Mini-challenges will be posted on Sunday. We hope that everyone will take part, but if you don't, there is no pressure. We're here to support you on this journey.
- Feel free to use this group as a place to express yourself - fears, frustrations, worries, goals, triumphs, successes. We are here to support and motivate one another, whether you're doing great or stuggling.

Man I keep forgetting to weigh in! This internship is amazing but it's keeping me too damn busy! It's also made me slack like crazy on the counting. But I'm hoping this group (round 2) will get me back on track.

- The way I have turned my life around in the past 8 months....leaving a stressful job, getting through my father's illness, losing 50 pounds, getting into shape, learning to love myself. seeing life in a positive way.
- My husband. He is my biggest fan! ...my reason for bettering myself. I am blessed to have found him - The past seven years with him have been heaven. I hope to have many more!
Hey, sorry I'm late. Complications ensued this weekend, and I didn't get online.
My weigh-in: 184.1 (pounds).
The only measurement I've got right now is my waist, which is 35.5". I'll have to whip out my tape measure at home -- I'm curious now :)
The best things about me:
- My never-say-die attitude.
- Relentless optimism.
- The general love that I feel for pretty much everyone on earth.
Alright, this is painful but here goes:

Ok, I mentioned already that I can't do challenges on Sundays until we get Internet...and I don't know yet when that will be. So I'm doing it from work on Monday mornings.
I will post my measurements hopefully tomorrow. Will try to remember tonight to have hubby help me to do them.
Three best things about me:
1) I am very smart. I know that sounds conceited, but I always excelled in school and found it easy. College was easy. When I decided to learn a second language, I learned it more quickly than the others in the group I belonged to. And I speak it like a native now, according to those who hear me.
2) I am very musical. If I hear a tune on the radio that I like, I can sit down at the piano and play it. And I play it in the correct key (I have what musicians call "perfect pitch"). I love to sing, and while I'm not Susan Boyle, I sing well. I have good rhythm. It's just in my veins.
3) I have had compliments my whole life on my blue eyes, I suppose because they are a somewhat standout shade. Somewhere between light and medium blue with just a hint of green, and they are bright. I always wear eye makeup because I try to make them stand out even more, since I don't think I'm particularly pretty but I know my eyes are beautiful!

I had no problem finding my tape measure and posting my numbers on Sunday... In fact the measuring and even the posting my numbers was far easier than the great things about me part. It actually took some thought and is kinda... therapeutic for me.
So here it goes.
3 great things about me....
1. I am a great mom. I raised two boys by myself and did a better job than a lot of parents do as a two-man team. I love my kids and gave to them selflessly throughout the years. I am proud of that.
2. I am fast. I can do just about anything faster than the average person (except run). I learn fast. Move fast. Think fast... I am quick witted. Flip-side of that... I drive fast. One more speeding ticket and I have to pay some kind of penalty to keep my drivers licence.
3. Schmoozing. I am a great schmoozer! ![]()

Hey crazypotato.. I post challenges on Sundays as it is the easiest day for me. You can do them whenever you want during the following week. No pressure!
And just for clarification for everyone, we officially started S&L II on June 28th. I don't start posting losses until the end of week 1, which is July 4. And don't worry if you gain - we don't count that! ![]()

qualities i love about myself:
- i am alive and not afraid of my emotions.
- i laugh and cry easily and i think thats just fine.
- i am not afraid of the wide range of human emotions. its not that we feel them, its what people do with them thats dangerous. feeling them actually makes them less dangerous. cuz it gets pretty messy inside of human beings sometimes!
- i have emotional and intellectual integrity.
- even if i dont agree, i dont necessarily disagree, cuz everyone has a point of view.
- i try to practice right understanding, right action, right speech, even if im often imperfect at it.
- integrity is also is the part where i do my best to tolerate my uglinesses, to see my imperfections as clearly as possible and not to deny them, but to understand that this may be the way im am for today. . . and it might even have something to teach me, so perhaps i should learn that before i go tossing out my discomforts.
- i believe that more change comes about from treating ourselves with compassion and kindness and understanding than from harsh inner messages, self flagellation, and internal abuse.
- i try to practice this in relation to myself and others.
- shaming does not make us stronger! understanding seems to tho, and thats something to build on!
- i think its more helpful to look at our demons head on, cuz you cant change something you dont understand, and understanding seems to require some sort of emotional openness to let the ideas inside oneself.
- this is still number one and two on this here list. all these things are the same thing, just different sides of a multi-facet complexity. . . imagine that.
- i am imperfect. i don't have to be perfect. i just have to show up and do my best, a best which sometimes changes day to day. thats alright.
- im a good communicator live and in person. i listen, try to understand, take turns, am sensitive to what is and isn't being heard, bring emotional honesty to the interaction, and believe most things can be resolved if we treat each other with dignity, respect, and patience.
- apparently i dont count to three very well. i can be rambling and redundant. i dont love these qualities about myself, but they are in here too, so for today i accept them, because i have to go to work now and am not going sit and edit this post.
- i have a practical and pragmatic side to go with all my high falooten ideas.
