I pretty much could of guessed that one. It's been the same for weeks, despite my workouts, calorie intake or positive thinking !!

I have to agree with a few others on here, "soup" was my big eye opener. On other diets I would always feel that I was doing so great with a bowl of soup for lunch etc. I couldn't believe it when I saw the amount of sodium. I now like to make my own chicken noodle soup and without any "salt".

Blah.  I've been between 162-166 for several weeks now.  It's very frustrating in a way . . . but in a way I think my body is just "getting used" to being this size.  I'm trying to keep my chin up and maintain . . . after all, my goal was to stay steady through the holidays and, so far, I seem to be doing that.  Thanksgiving was good.  I don't feel like I over indulged at all . . . I even skipped my mom's pie! :)  And it was nice that family members I haven't seen all summer noticed the loss and said I looked fantastic.

I think the foods that surprise me most are the little things.  Like mayo on a sandwich, bacon bits on a baked potato, a few crackers with soup.  Those "little things" really add up.  It's taken quite a bit of reconditioning to get back to the basics and just leave the extra's off.  I haven't quite conquered my love of CHEESE, though I have switched to lighter versions for certain recipes.

Congratulations to everyone who is losing. I am sending hugs to you all that maintain or gain. That's where I am right now. I ate well over the holiday without overdoing it. Will weigh tomorrow. I refuse to let this thing beat me. I got up and worked out early this morning. I have been experimenting with HIIT using the elliptical for 60 straight minutes on the interval setting. I bumped up the intensity and crossramp this morning. I kept my heart rate up and did some serious sweating. I am really excited with my progress. I felt stronger and my endurance was great!! Plan to go to the high school track tomorrow and see how long I can run. This may not sound like much, but I have never been a runner. For me to run more than a few minutes is a sure sign that I am improving no matter what the stupid scale says.

Thanks to everyone for the support. I am frustrated but not giving up.

Sounds like you are doing everything right Sunshine!  It has to start dropping again soon. Two weeks ago I broke a 6-week plateau by getting the flu. Kind of a drastic solution (and an unintentional one).

If you're looking for little ways to tweak what you are doing, here are some things that worked for me before:  drink lots and lots and lots of water, sleep more, change your work-out routine, and work-out earlier in the day if you can.

Or... you could just be patient.  That solution never works for me.

Shana Smile

Ah, thanks Shanasedai.... I just have to keep on, keepin on! I will try the morning workouts. I do tend to work out in the evening after supper, so maybe that could be a switch for me. I do drink lots and lots of water and I usually get a full 8 hours a night. It has to drop sometime, but boy it's frustrating. Your doing great, hang in there !

Thought I was doing okay this week, but the scales don't agree. I do have some mild pain in my thighs and calves from running yesterday, so that might be where this weight is coming from.

I leave on my cruise vacation in exactly one week...not going to push myself to lose 3 pounds in such a short period...I'll have 10 pounds to deal with when I get back...I'll worry about it then! ha ha!

Weight-wise, I am headed in the wrong direction. However, I am not paying any attention to the evil scale. I took my measurements and we will see what the tape measure says. I put on a pair of yoga pants, and the legs have gotten huge!! Something is moving and shifting. So I will continue on.

On the news the other night, there was a story about obesity. If America doesn't get a handle on weight, by 2020 60% of Americans will be obese. That keeps me in perspective. We are all doing something to compat that stat. Heathy is the name of the game, not some number on a scale.

So, let's all keep trying and hang in there! Every step, every stroke, every lb we lift is making us healthier than we were.

Weighed in Thanksgiving morning at 210, so that's my official weigh in and I recorded it earlier.  However, despite watching my portions, on Friday morning I weighed in at 213.  And 212 this morning.  I didn't work out Thursday or Friday, so I went this morning and did a record 803.5 calories burned on the treadmill, and I ran a record 3 miles as a part of that.  I'm REALLY going to watch my calories today.  I can't believe I can now run 3 miles...

After getting down to 174- yesterday I spiked up to 181 (sodium?) and today back down to 175... I am losing interest in EVERYTHING. I totally expected to see a gain just because of my zero effort. I think I am just losing muscle and that is the reason for the drop in pounds. I would rather be a few pounds more and firmer than be so giggly... I feel so squishy??? Ha! I am almost upset at the loss??? I guess I am happy... I dunno.

I didn't get to weighin on Thursday morning before I started my cook-a-thon for Thanksgiving - I made 2 meals - one at my MIL's house and then came home and cooked one for my family so after 2 huge meals I weighed in on Friday and lost a pound still!  I'm hoping that with lots and lots of exercise I can get my weight moving again - this is my first loss in a month, yikes!  Need to get a move on!!

HEY LADIES, and gentlemen, I NEED SOME SUPPORT HERE!!!

I forgot to ask in my post earlier... I have a friend in a photo contest and she is doing really well. I was hoping to get this group to just give her a vote today??? It ends Monday and she is in first place but not by much!

It is super easy and takes about 15 seconds! It is the photo of a lake with the sky shining in the water! If you have an extra 15 seconds vote and leave a kind review!

Please vote! http://www.brickfish.com/GoToPage.aspx?qsi=26 050467

Hey congratulations on the 3 miles!  I ran 1.5 today, and thought it was not too tough.  actually, the easiest it's ever been and I HATE running.  The military LOVES it so, I do it....
