Sleepy? So I think I gotta eat???
I was watching my tv show (dang, my dirty little secret: I love Starting Over . .. shhh..) when I suddenly felt like I was gonna STARVE TO DEATH!
Man, I'm hungry. So I eat 1/2 apple & a serving of peanuts.
Still hungry! Hungrier, hungrier. I lie down. Still hungry. Eyes getting heavy. Wow, I think. I'm so hungry it's making me sleepy.
Then, it dawned on me. I wasn't hungry at all! I'm sleepy! I had 2 children visiting last night, and we stayed up until 1:30 a.m. I've only had 6 hours of sleep! And, I babysitted 3 children since Saturday. No wonder I'm exhausted!
I'm afraid to take a nap though. I want to go eat everything in my refrigerator right now. I want some meat, and some chocolate and everything.
I'm about to go, people. Please help!

I've done that.. when I'm overtired or even underhydrated, I FEEL hungry...
Maybe try drinking some water, see if it's a thrist thing?

Ha ha.. don't worry... I like Starting Over too. It's pretty interesting. I used to watch it every day when I was off on my maternity leave!
first, step away from the fridge.
then, if you're afraid to nap for too long, set a little timer and give yourself that amount of time to relax. If you don't fall asleep, no big deal...but trying can't hurt. that's what I do, hope it helps?

I did take a 10-minute nap. I waited an hour and a half. I drank some water. I still wanted the chocolate, so I had it!
Got 2017 calories today, which is my goal, and a B-.

I never realized that hunger can result from sleep deprivation. that explains A LOT of the problems i've been having with sticking with a diet all day and screwing up at night or when I study late-night.
Even though I don't know about getting more sleep, knowing is half the battle, right?

Try to avoid the kitchen. Maybe take a quick pick-me-up nap and you'll feel refreshed. Also, try drinking some water.
I didn't know that about sleep-deprivation and hunger. You know, when I was in college, I read some college article about how to eat when you are cramming for finals. They said eat protein. Avoid caffeine and sugar. That's interesting that you said that! Thanks!
