Hi everyone! I'm going on an amazing caribbean vacation with a group from school at the end of this summer and I'm really motivated to lose those pounds before its time to leave. I'm looking for some amazing people to join me! Let's motivate each other :) What are your goals and reasons? Does anyone have any workout plans or tips to share?

These are my stats:

Height: 5'5

Starting weight: 195

Current Weight: 185

Goal weight by September 1: 165-170

Ultimate goal: 140-150

fmjess: Totally identify with the exercise thing. I've always been active in a can't sit still kind of way but focused exercising is new to me.  I've been keeping a photo log because I can't see any changes in the mirror however the pics show me reality. I'm also using a tape measure just because the scale isn't always my best friend. I've moved from 44-39-43 to 43-34-41. Totally recommend both as motivators. Smile

Hey girls!  What do I do?  We had a 'pot luck breakfast' today & even though I only took a tiny bit of a few things, I still managed to rack up over 900 calories (including lunch)!  Even with working out tonight, I'll still go over by lots....

So I've got like 300 cals to last the rest of the day/evening/night.... any suggestions on what will get me through the day without feeling like I'm starving?

Embarassed OH!  And I have a confession, I feel like I'm cheating a bit because I'm on Wellbutrin (buproprion). It suppresses my appetite (as it does in a lot of people). They are currently doing trials to use it as a weight loss drug. It is already used for anxiety, depression, and to stop smoking. A side effect is weight loss & increased sex drive.  Ummm, I love this drug, lol  Innocent

Fruit!  Stone fruits (plums, peaches, nectarines) give a lot of bang for their buck.  Also, I cut up tomatoes and cucumbers and eat them with just a little salt.  Okay, so the salt isn't great, but it's got nothing on a bag of chips.  Or you could peal some carrots, cut them and bake them into fries.  You can probably eat a few more of them than fruit, but I like ketchup with mine and that can get expensive (calorie wise) pretty fast.

 Yessssss! Going to get a cucumber or two today!  And pickles, how could I forget pickles, there's like 2 cals per pickle!

I ended up having a bowl of rice krispies (proper 1 cup + 1/2 cup milk = 160 cals) & a grilled chicken breast.  So I went over but not by too much. :)

Anyone have plans this weekend that will put them in danger of eating 620795 calories??  I have a family picnic but should be safe as we bring our own food.

How's everyone doing?  The weekend is upon us eh?  Jess, I am in danger of going over my calorie limit this weekend.  In fact I know I will lol.  But I've been VERY solid throughout the week, I for the most part stayed within my calorie limits and I've done 4 workouts.  I want to reward myself with a sushi dinner tonight which of course is going to be a lot of cals.  So my plan is this...take it easy Saturday, indulge a little.  Sunday get right back to counting.  I am also going to try to be very active outside! 

Good luck with your picnic!  And remember it's ok to indulge sometimes for sure, I think that prevents from having major binges!

Oh, and everybody, a few days ago I got a knee injury (kneecap, ugh) so I'm currently eating at maintenance. I hope I don't gain any weight, but I just wanted to let you guys know in case you're wondering why I gained weight at the next check up. ;(

Thank you all, luckily i have been at work this whole weekend and unable to pour my emotions into unhealthy eating. Today I will just focus on kicking ass this last day before our second weigh-in. 

I hope everyone is doing well and I am looking forward to seeing everyone's progress tomorrow!

I had a day at maintenance this week too. Friday I went and saw Harry Potter. And split a bucket of Shiner with my mom. :)

Also, a co-worker who has been loosing weight along with me passed me some of her daughter's clothing. I am thrilled to be fitting in AE Size 12 pants. (Barely). lol. It is so nice to get in to "normal" sizes.

Hi Everyone!

I hope you all had good weekends.  I sure did, but it wasn't long enough!  I am really not happy with my results this week.  I was a trooper all week, and come the weekend I did indulge but I stayed active as well.  It's also TTOTM so I'm going to assume that I'm holding extra water weight due to that as I think this is false weight gain!  Hope you guys had better results than I did!

Starting weight: 191

Last Week's Weight:  177.8

Current Weight: 178.2

Goal weight by September 1: 165

Ultimate goal: 150

@ Shsassy- It sounds like water retention. Maybe you will double down next week and loose a nice chunk of weight. I know when its TTOTM for me I can be up 3 pounds of water! No worries!

Thanks! With cutting out sugar I have been a lot less hungry and generally eating less. It is nice to not be battling hunger and trying to stay under a certain calorie intake.

I am here! Did sooooooo bad this weekend, at least 3000 cals on Saturday & 2500 Sunday

Was too scared to weigh myself this morning to be honest, but I will tomorrow morning (after working out tonight)!

My foe this weekend: Strawberry rubarb pie.

Kari: I cut out raw sugar the first time around with counting, helped a lot! But, I wasn't willing to give up the super sweet that sugar gives me so once I found splenda everything was fine & I have stuff even sweeter than I used to!

fmjess: Whenever I go over I just like to assume my metabolism will speed up to cover that intake and when I go back to eating well, I will have a ramped up metabolism to keep that weight falling off. :)

I love the pink stuff, but have been trying to avoid artificial sweeteners, since they increase cravings. :/ I did have ice cream yesterday. It was fantastic. I'm trying to stay under 30g of sugar daily.

Not so good this week. I was great all week at 181.8, then the weekend hit...Gah! This is why I prefer Friday weigh ins, much more encouraging. Oh well, hopefully I will have better luck this week. I wonder if this heat wave has me with water weight?

No change, but after a week of being two pounds higher from water retention, I'm happy it came back down. I'm sure the same will be true for you, Shsassy, and you too cherrysolitaire! Congrats on your loss, Kari, and hope you liked Harry Potter as much as I did!

I feel kind of bad though because i've been eating my "goal calorie intake" but soo unhealthy. I'll eat chips rather than a healthy dinner.. I would also like to start exercising much more.. So far its been about 2-3 times a week. Lets do some kind of challenge to make each other more active.. any ideas?!
