I've had one slip up this week, and unfortunately for me the scales reflect this, somehow have managed to gain 7 1bs!! One slip up. I'm so annoyed. I don't know what else I can do, have cut out processed foods, swapped sugar for stevia, been walking, drinking more fluids. I don't even eat bread!
What kicked off me eating better was that last weekend I got sick, some kind of tummy issue, basically I did not want to eat, so ate crackers, this went on for a couple days, then slowly reintroduced food, and have been ok, tolerated it fine, then wednesday and thursday my appetite returned with a vengeance ! Slipped up thursday eve and ordered a take out (veggie burger, fries and ben and jerry's). I felt gross afterward and the next day, my stomach did not handle it too well.
Could this be why I've gained - going within a week to not eating and then eating again (plus the stupid binge??) I really need/want to keep going, but I was so disappointed and I feel like a failure. If anyone has any comments or feedback I would really appreciate it.
Most of the 7 lbs you gained will be water weight which can easily come off with some exercise.
I went up 7 lbs after a few days in a row of eating junk food and not exercising just last week. At the beginning of this week I've been doing 60 mins of cardio per day and in the last 5 days I lost 5 of those lbs. This was definitely water weight as true fat does not come on and off that quickly. Just get back in your routine and the weight will come right off.
oh that's nothing! I ran a marathon on sunday and gained 10 pounds over the following 2 days and i downed a bag of fritos after the marathon because my body was craving salt (as usual). My legs swelled up 2 inches and my fingers were so puffy i couldnt put my rings on lol.
So yea, water weight is makes you feel like you failed sometimes, and those 10 pounds of water are like...slowly going away...
