Hello all....

This website changed my life. ( : Sounds overly dramatic, but it is true. I hope to look back a year or so from now and think, "I am forever grateful......"  Anywho, I think my favorite part of cc, aside from all the great educational information, is the overwhelming support and friendship I've found here. I guess most of my life I've only trusted and truly befriended a handful of unique women---I hold my friends in the highest regard and do not take camraderie lightly. The women I have met here are seriously my spiritual twins! I always felt very alone in my weight loss journey----no more!

That said, I think my cc girls, and you know who you are, are the best! ( :   My buddies, my pals, my soul sisters =P Chat away to motivate yourself and others! ( ;

LOL Abbs, I spend A LOT of time at work fidgeting with my money spreadsheets. They get me through the day and make me happy. LOL I am obsessed with them.

Driving can be annoying, but it might be fun too- you could look for cool landmarks and stuff to stop and check out on your way!

Well , it is quiet in here today...and at work. I am very tired and cranky today, because of this stupid cold it feels like I haven't slept in days. Or eaten since I am not hungry. My tolerance level when it comes to snarky remarks from coworkers is way low, so I am trying to keep a low profile and just sit at my desk quietly. As quietly as I can, with not being able to breathe and all :)

Only two hours left to go in the day, thank goodness. I hope the phone rings a few time sto give me something to do!

I, too, love to be organized and will be tackling the pile of stuff I brought back from the conference last week after I type this. I have to make sure all the different public health topics that we covered are broken down and filed so that when I need a reference, I can quickly find it.

Abbs, we drive down all the time! I hear you on the annoying part, though. It is cheaper to drive than to fly (even from Maine, if you can imagine!) and we like to take the scenic route to break up the monotony of I95. Hey - I know you work as a contractor for the govt, but have you checked with HR to see if you are entitled to any discounts through them? As a local govt employee, I got a discount card to use at Universal Studios when we were down there in May. Just a thought, in case they offer stuff like that. J got a special discount card for Disney because he's a teacher, too.

Peanut ~ you look amazing in your photos! beautiful! and your shower looked lovely :) I'm wishing the afternoon to go by fast for you, so you can go home and rest up and get away from the annoying co-workers...

Peanut-  If you refer to yourself as a whale again I swear you will lose a toe!  Using a spoon!

Hi all!  I hope everyone's Wednesday is picking up.  We are nearing the end of the day!  In loo of the fact that its Hump day.... and the hardest day to get through for a lot of people. 

Name something that you would buy if you had an extra hundred dollars (no paying the bills option here).

I personally, would buy a new workout ball since mine has been recalled, and a new perfume!  :)

Abbs- we must have been on at the same time! LOL how funny. I periodically clean off my desk because it makes me feel more "caught up" even if I am not. Right now my desk is decorated with flowers (my mom just gave them to me from my shower) and a paper chain counting down the days until the baby comes. Every day I cut off a link. Its sounds lame, but I love it. My sister in law made it for me, bless her!

Daizy- you and all your govt perks. I will have to look into that. Since D is a federal officer, i wonder if he gets anything coo like that.

Val- fine then. FINE. I don't like my toes anyway, so whale comments will ABOUND. Just kidding.

If I had 100$ I could spend on anything and not pay bills, I'd use it to buy a stroller. But since I need the stroller and will prolly  buy it ianyway, I am guessing you want a FUN answer, something I would not normally buy? I would get the Vera Bradley purse I've been dreaming of, the Mac eyeshadow Phfloof! and some Fantasy by Britney cause I am out!

OR (I gave it more thought) since I have that Marc Jacobs perfume still (I am a one scent at a time kind of girl), I would forgo the perfume and maybe the eyeshadow and get Season Six of the X Files on DVD because I am a dork.

Practical: a new front tire

What I'd probably actually buy: shoes and clothes and/or fabric to decorate my house!  I need to finish the two three curtains (two are almost done, just one last step and one from scratch) and a table runner that I started and never finished. 

And I need to finish sanding the drawers of the dresser I just stained because they won't close all the way I think because of the stain and stuff.  Then finish the buffet from my Grandmother so we can actually bring it upstairs and start using it.  I think I'm going to just wait to finish staining it for when my mom's down next and just bring it up now.  If I throw a table runner on there no one will be able to see the water rings on the top and I'll have another piece of furniture in my dining room which literally echos from nothingness.  Well we have a VERY small kitchen table in there and a wine rack that's FULL of liquor.  Yeah, it started out wine and the liquor took over and when we built the house we build a wine rack into the island in the kitchen so now it actually has a real home!

I think I might make one of those things my goal to accomplish tonight!

Daizy~ I'm SO glad you said something about work benefits!  Since I started teaching swim lessons I'm considered a gov't employee and get the navy base discounts!!  I'm going over there in a few mins to see what the prices are since I've never used them.

$100 not to spend on bills?  (lol)

Um, practical:  more new fiction books for my classroom library. 

Fantasy:  more new clothes since most of the pants I bought in June for pretty big bucks are too big now.   Not that I am complaining..... 

Good morning everyone!!!  It's a gloomy Thursday morning here, the kind where you just want to curl back up in bed and go back to sleep.  But here I am!  Tonight is my frist class of the new semester, joy.  I have a new teacher this semester so we'll see how I like him, hopefully he will be good because he teaches another class I might take later.  They totally messed up my schedule of classes so now I'm scrambling to make sure I have enough credits etc to finish by 2010 in May.  I think I might have to take a semester off since no classes are offered that I can take (really small remote campus) because I just can't do another online course, I don't learn anything and I hate hate hate hate hate hate hate them.  some people do their entire degree online but I don't feel like I get my monies worth from them and they're the two classes I've gotten a B in so I feel a strong connection. 

Well, gotta run to a meeting, chat with you all later!

OK, so I just want to say how thankful I am for all of you girls. 

Another of my cc girls, jessieca, wrote a long journal explaining she can't use cc anymore.....   I was DISTRAUGHT because I misread the name and thought it was OUR JELLY (jess) ---   I was BAWLING..............         I would be lost without the love and support I find here.    Please know how important each of you is.   ( :

Peanut~ she developed aneorexia after loosing like 50lbs the right way.  She's always been kinda extreem, either she's had 3000 cals today or 300 but she was really nice!  I hope she can get it back under control.

Olivia~ hi chicka!  How did J's surgery go?  Good luck eating well with all the parents there taking care of him!

Oh my gosh I want to go home SO bad!!  It's raining and dreary and I just want to be in my pj's at home reading or playing.  My class tonight got cancelled for some reason, oh well, more time at home!!

Sorry so late today. I saw Jess's entry and thought it was this Jess, too for a minute! I do hope she is able to work through her issues. Yikes.

Abby ~ yay for no class! home to pj's and freedom :) I am skipping the gym tonight - my muscles are far too sore to do much today and I want to give them a chance to heal again. I'm home alone for a bit so I'm looking forward to doing whatever I want!

Olivia ~ hope J is well when you get home - well, as well as he can be :) Good luck with the 'rents!

all was well with J when I got home.  and actually only his dad was stll here.  my mom went home earlier and his mom had a dentist appt, so it was quiet.  He's doing well if pretty sore.  

Olivia- glad to hear J is doing alright and that you didn't have to deal with his mom :)

Daizy- I totally didn't mean to blow off the subject of your cat, but it seemed inappropriate in there with my eggplant theorum. I have to say, it is always tough to balance your love and affection for your pet, the desire to keep them with you, and knowing when letting go will be kinder. My thoughts are with you!

Abbs- Our weather has been icky for days, it is all grey outside. Bleh I would rather be in BED!

Val- where are you?

Well, today is friday, no bosses at work. I have a killer sinus headache. I think I am getting over my cold, but that is just cause i can breathe. When I blow my nose, it is a never ending process, its like there is no end to what is jammed into my head. Ow.

Icky, Peanut! That sucks! I hope that it goes completely by tomorrow. A long weekend shouldn't be spent like that :( Actually, I think that our immune system shouldn't be allowed to be suppressed when women are pregnant, because there is so little you can take for illnesses when you're expecting - not fair. And thanks for the words about Merlin. I'm having a hard time letting go - my head knows it, but my heart is fighting it. I've had him for over ten years and he is a part of our family. You know how it is :)

There are not a lot of folks working here today either. I am trying to get work done, but I want to just goof off! LOL

Olivia ~ Have you thought of anything to do for fun yet? I mean, things his doctor have released him to do? *wink* Sounds like your night was mellow - that's good.

Abby ~ Hope you have good luck at the vet's today! I've never had a cat with allergies, but it something that they can "grow into" just like people. I hope that is all it is, like Peanut suggested. That would be a relief, huh? Come back in and let us know, if you can.

DAMN IT!!  I just lost my ENTIRE entry!

Quick recap: Kitty has asthma but his heart looks good so we ruled out heart disease and heart worm ($305 to rule them OUT, grrrr). 

Olivia~ hope J recovers quickly and nicely!

Daizy~ hope Merlin feels better, we all know how hard it is to part with our beloved pets.  Sometimes I love my cat more than humans.

Abbs- I am glad that you have a possible solution! Sorry that  it cost so much though. It is amazing how much a pet can be a family member, isn't it?

Daizy, Ugh it sucks. the only two meds i can take for the symptoms dont help. it is amazing how much better advil works for me than tylenol, only advil is especially banned in the third trimester :(

Ugh and the men i work with. I made a little comment under my breath today and they started making so much fun of me for being a big baby and acting like mine is the first child that's ever been conceived. Seriously, I don't complain at work hardly ever, but even so, I am like, 9 months pregnant. I don't think it is unreasonable that I be uncomfortable from time to time.
