Hi Everyone!!
I am new. I am 32 years old; weigh 203 lbs; I am married and have 3 children. Two of them are fraternal twins. Almost 3. My eldest daughter is 9.
I am following the Low Glycemic diet and watching my calories. I have lost a total of 16 lbs since the beginning of January. I walk at least 45 min's or more most days of the week. I drink 8-10 glasses of water a day. I am aiming for 1250 calories a day, although somedays I do not get that many in and I should to lose weight the healthy way and not too fast.
I wish everyone the best of luck!! Hope to hear from you soon!!

Hi, brennym32!!! ![]()
Welcome to CC!!! ![]()
Like you, I started too low... Like you, I'm now exercising in the cardio style! I love the benefits I gained with the recommended weight lifting- nice feminine muscles that I needed- but my weight loss is sloowww, so, I'm now walking, too! ![]()
I have a 2 1/2 mile road (round trip), that I live on the end of, and I was surprised to find it wasn't hard for me, now. It takes me about the same time you are taking to walk that whole thing- so you are doing really good with 45 minutes! ![]()
My Nutritionist recently bumped me up to 1300 avg. calories- staggered over the week from 3x 1200, 3x 1350, and 1x 1450. The 1350's are really 1200's with a 150 cal. protein shake for after weight lifting... ![]()
But... I started at 206.5 and my needs are less now at 169.5... so don't go too low and get tired chasing those children...! You need energy more than I do with my empty nest...! ![]()
Glad you're here! ![]()
Sincerely, 2beittybitty-but-Healthy! ![]()
2beittybitty, Thanks for the advice! I don't know why I am having such a hard time trying to get in 1250 calories. When I wasn't dieting I could triple that!!! lol!!
I wish I was down to 169 lbs. It seems so far off! I'm getting closer to 1200. I am trying to work on this!
Great job on all of your weightloss! How long did it take to lose all of that? I weigh 203 right now. I am hoping to be 145 lbs by the end of August. Do you think that is to soon? I am kind of discouraged this week because I am bloated. I feel like and look like I haven't lost anything. Does it take a significant amount to lose before your pants feel loser?
Nice to hear from you! Hope to hear back from you soon!!

Hi! ![]()
My weight loss is sloowww!!! I went to the Nutritionist because of this, and being 45 makes it slower... the walking should help both of us! I lost 12, then 5, then 4 a month till the end of the year... Stress and a plateau then slowed it a lot, and the Nutritionist confirmed that. My results were also affected by heavy weight lifting- I've prob. lost more than 40, though only 37 is showing on the scale now, due to the visible muscle weight gains I have. Soooo, I can't predict your loss rate very well, lol! ![]()
Keep trying to eat, though! Plateau's get us if we don't, and you've got a lot of folks depending on your energy!!! ![]()
You'll make it! Whether it's when you want it or not-- don't quit and you will succeed! It's a Life-Style for me now, not a diet- and the Nutritionist said her long-term successes were the slower losers- they learn good habits that keep them from gaining back! Practice Does make perfect! ![]()
This has to be the way I eat for now on so I am trying to enjoy what I eat by being more creative. Slow but sure wins the race right?!
Thanks for the info and encouragement! Nice to hear from you. Keep in touch!!
