40 pounds to lose... just started today.
Does drinking a lot of water really help? I'm already up to 1300 calories for the day and it's only 1:15! What are some real low calories breakfast and lunches that actually fill you? Help!
Look up "protein pancakes" add some lite syrup and it's really good and good for you
Yes....water helps a ton. I try to drink half of my weight in ounces of water per day. It helps you to feel fuller also. For breakfast, you may have to try doing unconventional things like egg whites with spinach and tomatoes with one slice of wheat toast. Stay away from cereals because they tend to be high in sugar and carbs with little protein. Oatmeal with half a grapefruit is also a great option. If you need something quick, try a meal replacement shake like wonder slim or Herbalife. Good luck!

Hello I am Pearl! Today is my first day! I need to lose 40-50 lbs too! I've triedso many low carb diets really only lose fluid then gain it all back! I've gained 8 lbs during the holidays and I am tired of starving on 500-700 calories, so I have decided to count calories in a balance program! I am 52 years old and I desire to lose this weight even though I've been over weight most of my life! I need alot of encouragement, like most people! Started today as well. I am a teenaged guy with 50 lbs left to go. I started running during te summer and have since lost 20 lbs but I have seemed to plateau. It's great that We are taking all this on, am I right?

Hey kitkat2, i just started today and need to lose 30 lbs. I am starting at 170. I started my day with maple and brown sugar oatmeal with a few walnuts. Its about 300 calories. You have to watch how many walnuts you use. They are high calorie. I could sure use a diet buddy since i am on my own here.

Hi this is my 2nd day. I need to lose 40-50 also. You are right you actually have to eat to lose wt. I did WW it was the greatest and I lost 39 lb in a year, slow but stayed off 8 yrs. Now 3 yrs later I have gained almost all back. I found this site and it has everything WW does but for free. So now I am starting again. I am 52 also as of the 15th. Martin Luther King Jr. birthday too. God is surely blessing me and I am hoping to use the Seek God First, 1st Place for Health book too.

I want to be lookin' good 1 more time before I am old. Most important I want to feel better. My knees hurt, I can hardly get down and back up again.
I am using Walk Away the Pounds, Leslie Sansome and I love it. I walked in my LR 2 mile yesterday and I never exercise. It was fun.

Low calorie breakfast with lots of protein - one boiled egg whole banana one slice whole wheat toast with one tablespoon of regular peanut butter. Also one cup of oatmeal plus whole banana is great. If this doesn't quite get you to lunch then add one apple as mid morning snack or whole carrot sliced.
I'm really happy to start my day as a new member! I plan to use this site for inspiration to help me stay on track. I also have 40lbs to lose and a bathing suit to look good in this summer. I will try to share experiences and what is working for me
