38 yr old, mother of a 14 yr son, mother of a 17 yr daughter, married to a USCG man for 19 yr, we compete with our Border Collies in Disc/frisbee.
I found myself with a back injury at the end of April. I have 2 bulging discs and a tear. After being bedridden and feeling useless it came to my attn that I'm lazy and my discs would do far better if I started taking care of myself. That I have crap I need to do but I have work to do to support the healing process. Surgeon told me a pool, elliptical, continue core exercises to help heal my back. And if surgery is required down the road recovery would be easier.
Plus my poor Mako wants to play frisbee so bad and I can only moderately play.
So operation get up of your arse and make your skinny healthy dreams come true. Sooner then later has started.
MRI also showed female issues fibroids, cysts which also states u are not invincible only you can fix this. GET UP!
So I know I will whine, ****, boohoo but that's how the 236 lbs got here in the first place!!! So day one of my journey has begun!!!!!! First goal by Xmas eve be 195.. Then a new goal will be brought forward.
Thanks for reading. Candie

While not bed ridden I can relate to what you are going through. My two herniated disks have kept me fairly sedentary for the past several years. Doc says all the weight gain is exacerbating my problems. Besides that, I am tired of all the fat rolls. Wishing you the best of success!
Wow, love your attitude! It's so easy to be lazy nowadays, think it can happen without us realizing. Fantastic that you've had a change of view, excited to hear about those pounds dropping off, am sure you'll make your goal by Christmas, you sound like you have lots of drive :)
