Newbie-Looking to lose baby weight after 2 babies in 2 years

Quote  |  Reply
Hey everyone. Just a quick intro.

As the title says, I have had two little girls in the last two years, my baby being only 3 moths old now but I struggled shifting the weight between pregnancies and am now the heaviest I have ever been and am so uncomfortable in my skin.

Just looking for support as well as I am sure I am like a lot of people and struggle with the willpower. I start a new diet very Monday and by Monday evening, I have cheated so bad that I think...'I'll start next week'

Anyhow-I was just anbridemaid a few weeks ago and just saw pictures on Sunday, and it shocked me to see how big I looked. I am flying home to Canada in a few months for a wedding do would desperately love to shift some f the pounds away!

Ok, well, hope to meet some of you soon :)

Welcome to CC!  My advice would be to start with small changes and work your way up.  That way you can't "blow it" and "start over tomorrow".  That just gets very frustrating :(  First cut out sugary drinks and replace them with water.  Once you get that down, start cutting back on junk foods and replacing them with healthier options, add some exercise here and there and work on adding to it. Make healthy habits you can keep up long term. Good luck :)

I'll be your supporter! I'm trying to lose a few pounds for a vacation coming up and i always use calorie count when i feel myself slipping. I'm a personal trainer and I tell all my clients about this app because it makes you really accountable. I need motivation too and the help of calorie count bc I'm bad with food (basically meaning I have a sweet tooth) but I love to exercise!! So if you need any workout ideas or information about metabolism, etc.... I've been working as a trainer for 4 years now and I would be happy to help you in that department. Let me know if you have an advice on will power!!! :) good luck
Hey! I also have two little girls and am looking to do the same! Add me! :)
I had a baby about two and a half years ago. I still haven't lost the weight (lack of trying on my part!). I've got a vacation coming up in two months that I'm trying to slim down for...like you I just dont feel right in my skin. I've finally gotten to a point that I'm over it and I need to change. Now that Ive got the motivation I just need to do it. Good luck! I'll be pulling for you!

Hi,

I just started here and I also have two little girls, two and a half and just one. I feel like I have been pregnant for two years straight. It is hard to get out of that mental state that you are eating for two. I am really trying to get my exercise with both my girls as I work full time and feel like I don't get to see them enough as it is. For the past week I have been taking them for long walks in the stroller and have even tried inline skating with my husband and the girls. I have a class reunion in a few months and would love to be more in shape and less self couscous.

HI,

I to have 2 kids born very close together. many things in my life have gotten in the way of good eating, and one of them is that same frustration of well i just blew it so i might as well "enjoy myself" and my diet goes bust for a few more weeks.

I have just started a new plan, and to day is my 1st week completed. This time around I have gone the longest ever folloing the "rules" the only other diet i did so well on was Atkins years ago.

what has been working for me, is when i feel like eating. I look at the time, and i try not to eat for another 1-2 hours. During my lunches at work I started going outside and I only bring a small veggie snack. these help me from ordering take out or over eating.

when im fixing the kids meals i dont make any for myself, if the kids leave any leftovers. i dont eat them anymore like i use to, i give them to the dogs no exceptions :P

I just had to get the mind set of a cheat isnt a free pass, I have done so WELL on this diet, but yesterday i ate WAY more then i should of, and today i feel all bummed out and i wanna eat ALL the foods in the house i shouldnt. i feel very hungry because of yesterdays, minor cheat. but im sticking to my guns, because im going to be VERY tempted at a 4th get together.

Look at your intake and start by getting rid of 3 things. my 1st ones were: No more fast food, no eating kid leftovers, no cookies/candy. SO when i do take my kids to McD's (i have to due to my sons SPD) i now order nothing for me, no matter how hungry i am.

being a mom its so easy to just want to relax, but like your doing long walks, space in a light jog if you can,  my kids like to sit on my feet and i bounce them, we dance, swimming, and i put on Richard simmons DVDs, they love the music and mommy can do the moves for a mild FAST workout that dosnt exhust me.

Californians and New Yorkers may take calorie counts for granted. While they've faced calories on menu boards for years, most of the rest of the nation has remained in the dark. Now Starbucks is shining a spotlight on their menu.
