It may not be new to many of you but I just found it today so humor me =P

I always hear so much about Almond Breeze, but to be honest I didn't like it all that much..I mean it was ok but it was a little too watery =\

Today I was at Lifesource and I found Almond Dream, and I LOVE IT!! It has a really good almond milk flavor and it's nice and creamy!  I heated it up with a spoonful of strawberry jam to make a creamy strawberry drink. YUM!

Only 30 cals per cup, too!

Just thought I'd share =D

*edit: 30 cals for unsweetened, 50 for original!

how ya doing deflepfan16?  Did ya graduate finally?

what brand is it?  Almond Breeze is put out by Blue Diamond -- who does Almond Dream? Does it come in flavours?

I love Almond Breeze -- but I only use it on my cereal -- something else might work better in other thing

Where do you buy it?

Hey coach!  I'm doin well...and yes I graduated =D  I decided not to walk though...LOOOONG story!

Almond Dream is made by the same people as Rice Dream and Soy Dream...Here is a link to the site:
Taste the Dream

I don't know all the places  you can buy it...I found it at Lifesource Natural Foods, but I'm gonna check other places now that I know it exists!  I'll let you know if I find it anywhere else!

Thanks -- they might have it at our local David's Natural Market -- I'll be checking this week.  There is a store finder on the website

Congrats on the graduation -- sorry you didn't walk, however -- that's half the experience (or so I've been told, I didn't graduate in the US)

so these almond milk products, are they dairy or not?

they are non-dairy

No they make it by boiling almonds and grinding them up then filtering it out. You can make it yours self. You can do the same things with rice, & oats soya beans :)

xXx

wow, even the sweetened version is only 50cals per cup! thanks for posting this, i'm definitely gonna keep an eye out for it!
My pleasure =)

It made me happy so I just had to share!

Hmmm looks good.  I've never seen it anywhere though...  But I'll definately be sure to keep an eye out, now!  I love almond breeze, but I'd love to try this, too.  Thanks for the tip!

i am DEFINETELY looking out for this one.

I have been drinking a lot of almond breeze, as it is the only milk substitute that works in my tea (rice and hemp were horrible in my tea... yech...)

I will keep my eye out for almond dream... sounds good, and low cal!

Last night I went to Whole Foods Market and found Almond Dream, I used half a cup in my cereal this morning for 25 calories (I got the sweetened) and it was delicious! definately worth looking for. Tonight I'm gonna make a peanutbutter banana smoothie with it, thanks for the recommendation!
My pleasure =D haha

You are so lucky you have a Whole Foods Market near you!  No one likes the city I live in so we don't have many cool, fancy health stores really =( At least not popular ones that have all the good stuff!
Stupid question, would this be in the dairy aisle by the milk or on a shelf somewhere like chicken stock in a box?

Another stupid question, I'm FULL of those today, how does the unsweetened one taste, is it naturally sweet?

deflepfan16, I feel ya on the Whole Foods.... closest one to me is over an hour and a half away! I'm bummed. When I lived in Colorado they were on just about every corner!
I found it on a shelf with the other nonrefrigerated beverages.  It is in one of those chicken stock type boxes =)

The unsweetened one isn't sweet AT ALL, but I still like it.  I don't know how to describe the flavor...it's very...plain but nutty tasting.  It's hard to explain! haha  When I want it a little sweeter I've been known to add a drop of stevia though!

Yea i found mine on the shelf across from the refrigerated milks. I got the original one and your right deflepfan16 it is nutty tasting, I can really taste the almond but it's yummy to me :) I can't wait to make my peanutbutter banana smoothie with it tonight because Im sure the nuttiness of the Almond Dream and the peanutbutter will go great together.
Thanks ladies! I've been looking for something new as I hate milk. The thought of it makes me gag!
