Welcome to the July 2008 Weight Loss Challenge! Signups ended Saturday, July 5, 8:00 pm PDT.
Information for participants:
- Weigh ins are every Tuesday. (July 1, 8, 15 and 22, and 29)
If you are unable to post on that day, please do so as soon as
possible. If you do not weigh in for 2 weeks, your name may be removed
from the participant list.
- Please make a new post for each weigh in, copying and pasting your previous week's info. This helps keep us current, and also bumps the thread.
- You can also tell us about yourself (your height, start weight,
age, goal weight, your program, and so on) to encourage other people to
get to know you and maybe make some new friends!
- During your updates, feel free to share how the week went for you, so we can encourage or be motivated by you!
- If your name does not appear but you did sign up, or it is misspelled, please let me know. Also please let me know if I miss updating your weigh-in information.

I would love to do this. Definitely will help keep me motivated through all of the summer cookouts and what not, plus I am going away in August. I am 5'3, last time I weighed myself I was 129lbs...but it fluctuates between that and 130. At my heaviest I was 140.5 so I have dropped about 10 lbs over that past couple of months (never thought that was going to happen). Good luck to everyone!

I did this in June, and I lost 7 lbs (my goal was 8)!! I find it to be a great motivator :D This month my goal is 6 lbs. Umm about me...I started trying to lose weight last year, and I have lost 58.6 lbs. so far. I am 5'5'' and I weigh 146.4 lbs. I would like to lose a total of 70 lbs, and my goal date to lose the last 11.4 lbs by is Sep. 15th. I started as a size 20, and I am now a 7/8...ideally I would like to be a 5/6. I think my main focus needs to be toning, but I never focus on that lol...soon though, I swear >_>

I recently just started, but I've lost 4 pounds so far. I'm 5'5'' and 141 lbs right now. I would love to get to 135 by the end of July. I'm a student, and i've gained 10 pounds since summer started. I recently took the LSAT and I seemed to eat a bunch just to avoid studying! I'm trying to lose the "studying" weight as well as a few more pounds.

I almost made goal last month.. but fell short.. This month I'm going to do it.(I made goal a little less)
I'm a 5'4 37year old mom (to a 2 year old) who has weighed everywhere from 232 to 125 in my adult life. This time will be my last time at dieting. This is now my lifestyle and I am happy with it. I've lost 35lbs since mid February and now I'm shooting for a pound a week. I hope to make my ultimate goal by the end of October. (Then I hope to make myself sick on real bacon and meat pizza!)

I missed my 9lb goal for June by .4 lbs, so I'm hoping that I will be able to make it this month. I'm 5'2" and came home from college this year weighing 149.8 lbs. I'm trying to start my senior year of college on the right foot with a goal weight by the end of the summer of 125. hopefully i'll get there. That would be a loss of almost 25lbs in three months & i am gaining a lot of muscle at the gym, but hopefully even if i dont reach my goal weight, i will feel more comforatble about my body!
- this may seem really trivial, but I am going to the shore to visit some guys from school at the begining of august so that can be motivation.
- i also go up to school in the middle of july on the 12th, so we'll see if anyone notices my loss :)

ok i really dont have much to lose, i did the june challenge and didnt do too badly, i just have that last lil bit to go, this month is really about getting there and stayin there. It really helps that weigh ins are on sunday-monday that way im less likely to ruin my progress over the weekend
