Small Losers Group - Only 10 to 20 pounds [left] to lose!

Quote  |  Reply

Any age

Don't know how long this group will last since after 10 or 20 pounds, people will leave :P

But the first 10 pounds and the last 10 pounds are veryyyy different in terms of difficulty.

So, this is a group for people who only have a few pounds of chub to lose in the first place, or who have undergone an amazing transformation and are nearing the end of this journey!

Post your frustrations, successes, suggestions, questions, and stats if you are looking for a twin :]

I've got about 16 more pounds to lose til my goal date and I'm having some difficulties! It's weird because when I'm eating well, I feel REALLY good and hardly even crave unhealthy foods. Then, something will happen where I will have a bad eating day and I feel like total crap, yet I made the choice to eat that crap. It doesn't really make sense! I guess I'm still kind of trying to get the hang of making better food decisions, because it's still a little tough!

Does anyone have any tips on keeping the motivation to make good health decisions?!

i have 8.8 more to go! i originally lost a ton of weight, got to my goal weight and now 8.8 pounds has crept back up. so im looking to get back on track and lose these last 8.8 pounds!

I have 8 pounds to lose too.  I weigh about 143 right now and want to get to 135 by August. I can't wait to finish losing weight. I have been working on this for 2 years. Laughing

I have 11 pounds to lose, having lost 15 already. Until now my loss has been pretty much steady. However, for the past 14 days my progress seems to be staggering. One pound up here, one pound down there but nothing is really happening anymore. I am zig-zagging my calories, I have taken into account that my BMR is a little lower now than it used to be, I lift weights, I do cardio.

I guess it's just true that the closer you come to your target weight, the harder the pounds will come off.

ya im in my last bit. already lost some and only have 18 left to go im 5'5 and whant to get down to 130 curently at 148. the biggest trubble is that i get lazy. i love exersising i just have a super hard time getting my self started it like near imposible.

I am 5'8 and looking to lose those last 10 pounds. I have already lost close to 50.

GW 125

Carolinamoon I am right there with you!  Stat-wise, anyway...

I'm somwhere between 5'7" and 5'8"...I've lost over 25 pounds and am now hovering around 135.  I want to lose these last 10 (end goal is 126), but I want to make sure I do it right so they STAY OFF!

I know what I should be doing right now is boosting the calories and boosting my workouts, so I am toning more as I am losing the last 10...but I don't know what to do to switch up and improve my workout routine.  I don't have access to a gym for at least another month and a half...I could get heavier weights, but the workout routines I do at home are BORING ME!  I know if I don't work out harder, though, I'll lose the last 10 and still not be happy because I have a gross flabby booty!

Why can't I pick where the last 10 pounds come from??

Also, the thought of my weight loss slowing down scares me.  I haven't had a net loss for over 2 weeks, and I'm starting to think "GAH!!  I am a fat cow!!" but I know that isn't right.  I'm just spoiled by the instant gratification of losing a pound or more every week for the last few months.  I know the last few will come off slower, but even though I consciously know it, it doesn't make me happy.

I'm 5'6" and still have to lose 15lb to get to my goal of 115lb. So far I've lost about 9lb since April 30th when I started using CC. I feel okay as I am right now, but I would like to lose some fat from certain parts of my body. My biggest problem with losing weight is that I get bored with counting calories, and then after a while forget how much I'm supposed to eat, so I eat more than I should. I did become more active since I started counting, and it hasn't changed. I have to make sure I log my calories at least for 2 weeks each month just to keep my food intake in check, but it's not that easy. :/

I'm definitely joining this group! I'm 5'6" at about 138 looking to get back down to 126(ish) I've been wanting to lose about 15 pounds or so since Christmas, but just haven't been able to keep myself on track to do so.

I have, however, been fairly good lately with watching what I eat as well as going to the gym. I'm down maybe 4 pounds, depending on when I weigh myself. My weight has always fluctuated quite a lot depending on the day.

My biggest motivation lately has been the fact that a lot of my shorts and pants are not fitting very well and i'm determined not to go up another size. I try to plan out certain days to go to the gym and leave myself post-it notes as motivational reminders.

anyone have a really affective work out for getting rid of the lower belly pudge, as well as thinning out the thighs? I've been working on an eliptical and a stationary bike, but not long enough or consistent enough to see results.

I'm 5'3" and weigh 127.  I want to lose about 10 lbs. and have been trying to do it with just diet and fasting.  Now I work out 4-5 days a week so I hope I have success this way.  My weakness is sweets.  Is there anyone out there who is recovering from a low metabolism caused from fasting and not exercising?   I am hoping that over the next six months I will see great results!!  :)

me too jenny!

im about the same height as you (half an inch taller :P) and about the same weight...also want to lose between 10 and 15 lbs and be about 112 lb

sweets are also my weakness :[

i am trying to up my working out to 6 days a week...its tough

im only 5'4 and i need a good 10 pounds im 132but i want DESPERATELY to get into the 20's. i do about 5-6 days of excercise. cardio + weights (every other day). i just lost my ipod so i dont have any music to run to.

how do yall entertain yourself when you excercise??

Hello All!!!

*raises and waves hand*

I wanna join! The highest weight on me was 170 when I joined here I was 155 then 147 back in May and now I'm at 134! I feel comfortable in my skin around 120-125! My lowest weight was 115...ughh way too thin for my body! I really didn't feel like a girl anymore, all my curves disappeared even my "girls" you know what I mean? I remember when I saw a woman I knew, I hadn't seen in a while she said "Ohh.. my gosh are you sick?" I wasn't healthy! This time I want to reach and maintain my goals in a healthy way!

We can do it!!

i was exactly like you :] i was not very attractive at my lowest weight, and although im not totally happy with my considerably higher weight right now, i never want to go there again

Me! I want to lose about 8-10 lbs, not positive which, since I have to see what I look like at my goal weight. My starting weight was 175 (really, probably about 179-180, but I was dieting already before finding this site), goal weight was 140, current weight is 147 . . . I'm pretty sure I've got more than 7 lbs jiggling around on me, though. I'm 5'8-9", turning 27 in a few months.

I was stuck at 153 for a LONG LONG time (like, 2 months), but started hitting the gym more often a few weeks ago, after I came back from a trip and inexplicably lost 2 lbs after a week of eating and drinking all sorts of junk. Since then, lost about 3-4 more. In about 4-5 weeks . . . frustratingly slow, but it's still progress, right?

Best of all, since getting back "on the horse," I've rediscovered what I call my "mojo" - my DESIRE to go to the gym and eat healthy. Lost it for a few months there; nice to have it back.
Great idea for a group! I have 19 pounds to go, and I hadn't thought of that as a small number until this morning. One thing I notice about this stage of weight loss (been to this dance before after baby #1) is the way I can feel every pound on my body. If I lose a pound, I feel lighter, my clothes feel better. If I (oh the horrors!) gain even a fraction of a pound, I feel flabby and bloated. Anyone else notice that?

Yeah I know what you mean!

I am so thankful for a healthier perception of it all!  I feel "fit"  when I had toned muscle! I loved the way I looked and Better.. yet, felt! I felt strong and energized!  Just enough subtle muscle to notice Wow..that muscle works-out! I like having the subtle muscle...cause it's symbolic to health over bones! Bones break.... my muscle is strong and helps me be a fat burning machine!!! The definition is beautiful to me!

How is everyone doing losing the last 10-20??

I'm down to 132, so I have 6 pounds left to go.  The last bit is coming off sloooooowly, but I am feeling more toned and fit, so that's good.  How is everyone else doing?  Making progress?  Slow and steady?  Stalled out?

We can do it, we're so close!

i weigh myself like, once every 3 weeks in order so see significant change since im not planning to lose all the 15 lbs i need to los in 6 weeks like last time :P

so, i will be reporting my (hopeful) progress this saturday or sunday :]

Hi everyone. I am a small loser. LOL! I am 5'4" and hover around 135lbs. I would like to weigh around 120lbs. Mine is mostly in the mid section. My thighs are growing and now I have back fat. UGH that sounds gross! I have been on calorie count for a little less than a week. It was going ok at first but today I want to eat everything I come in contact with. Thank goodness for healthy snacks.
