Young Adult Flyweights!

Flyweight - noun - a professional or an amateur boxer weighing up to 112 pounds (51 kg)

I figured I'd like to start a thread for young adults age 18 and up, whose goal or current weight is under 20 BMI. Why? Because some people's preference is to stay on the thin side of normal, and we deserve support too.

I'll start by introducing myself: My name is Jannine, I'm 24, I live in Denver, and I'm married to a total hottie. I do artsy, musical and literary stuff for fun. I'm 5'7.5", 128 lbs., 37-27-37 (BMI 19.8), 23.5-inch thighs complete with cellulite :-(, and I wear a size 3/4. (A couple less pounds and I'd be wearing size 1/2.) I'm very small-boned: 2 3/8 inch elbow and 5 1/2 inch wrist. I've got generous boobs and a flat stomach, but no booty, but from the front I'm shaped like a traditional hourglass. I don't exercise and don't plan to start anytime soon! I'm a fan of crazy diets like the Fat Fast because they work.

The thinnest I've ever been is 108. It didn't look very good on me, but at least my thighs were normal size *lol*. The weight at which I look best and get the most compliments is 117. But my real diet goal is to hit 36-inch hips.

Anyone else wanna jump in?

I will! I don't know if I quite meet the requirements but here goes.

My name is Lea, I'll be 18 in exactly 10 days. I stand tall at 59 inches (that's 4'11") I'm starting my freshman year of college on August 27th. I want to double major in International Studies and English with a minor in either arabic or chinese. I'm a huge dork and I love school. My boyfriend is also a total hottie. He's nearly 6 feet tall with wide shoulders and a perfect abdomen. Sometimes I'm embarrassed to be in a bathing suit in public with him because I'm afraid everyone's thinking "Why is that gorgeous guy with that chubby short girl?" In middle school I was chubby for a couple years, then I lost weight and was tiny for a couple years because of puberty, but I still thought I was humungous (probably also puberty) and din't have good eating habits so I gained weight steadily until I was about 16. By the time I weighed myself I was 138, which looked absolutely TERRIBLE on my small frame in addition to being overweight. Then I joined the gym, cut out fried food, all sodas, and most red meat. I got myself down to 115. I too have 5 1/2 inch wrists. People describe me all the time as tiny. I like it. Boys pick me up when they hug me and spin me around and I don't want that to stop. I have a nice round butt and really toned thighs and legs. My thighs are not skinny but there's no cellulite and when you touch them they're completely hard. My stomach poofs out like no other. My boobs are tiny. I have a pear shape at 31-25-36. I don't really need those to change but the pooch below my belly button has got to go. When I weighed myself this morning I was 113.2 (bmi 22.9) and by the time I leave for school I want to be 105 or less. I can't do the 1200 calorie thing so I excersize like crazy. I pig out on ice cream with my friends, I drink alcohol a couple times a week (it's my last summer at home) and usually drink the least caloric thing there - but it still gets me about 500 calories under. I'm having the hardest time getting under 110 because I've never been that thin but I will do it! I also want to get my belly button pierced this summer and I need a flatter stomach to do that. I know they're vanity pounds, but you're right, we deserve support too!

p.s. lunges help a LOT with toning up the thighs, I do them through my house every morning when I wake up

"Vanity pounds"... lol... is that what they're called... I don't think "the last 5" should be scorned as much as it is, I mean, why should we be content with just being at a "healthy weight"... I think everyone deserves the exact body of their dreams if it's possible for them!

You're starting college, congrats! Just be careful... the Freshman 15 is no myth... cold pizza for breakfast, anyone? :-P I hope you're not gonna be living in a dorm! Cutting down on alcohol is the hardest part of dieting, I know. Sometimes it feels like, "Eh, screw it, I'd rather be drunk and fat than thin and sober." LOL  P.S. Nice waist-hip ratio.
