Feel free to post your weekly stats/progress whatever day you typically weigh in.

Age: 23

Height: 5'5''

SW (Feb 08): 208

SW (01 October): 172.2

GW by November: 162-167

Strategy: I try to eat 1500 calories a day and exercise 4-6 times per week. My exercise routine includes 30-45 minutes of cardio and 20-30 minutes of strength training. I don't usually strength train two days in a row. I usually have one day a week where I count calories but don't worry about going over my calorie limit. I've found that this really helps my body in that I don't feel like I'm constantly depriving myself of food that I like and/or want. Good luck everyone!

I find that these groups/challenges help me out a lot too. I'd like to join.

Height: 5'2" - small frame

SW: 131 lbs.
GW by Labor Day: 116.5 lbs.

CW (July 18, 2008): 123.5 lbs.

Week 1 (July 25, 2008): 122.0 lbs. (-1.5 lbs)
Week 2 (August 1, 2008): 121.5 lbs. (-.5 lbs)

I mostly walk/jog about 3 times a week. I usually ride on my mountain bike atleast once a week also but haven't lately because I need to buy a new helmet. Strength training isn't my favorite :( I try to do a bit here and there but haven't really gotten into the grove of it just yet. Anyone have any favorites for that, that is pretty easy for a beginner?

I'm just getting back in the game.  Maybe this will help!

5'5" medium frame

sw was 152.6 in January

got down to 137, now cw is 141.2

gw is 132.6

I don't have a strategy per se - trying to eat around 1400 calories and do some kind of exercise, walking, running, biking... I'm not into strength training.  I tried but couldn't stick with it - just not my thing.

I am a part of another group as well...But the more the merrier.

Age: 27

Height: 5' 1" - medium frame

SW (as of 6/16/08): 129lbs

CW (as of 7/18/08): 124lbs

GW (by 9/1/08): 112

I work out in the morning for 45 - 60 minutes.  Mostly The FIRM videos but some times circuit training (weight lifting and Cardio combo).  I walk for 30-40 in the afternoons.  I try to consume between 1200 and 1300 calories a day and be at 500 to 1000 deficiency a day.

i am forever joining one of these groups but i guess it helps me to feel more accountable.

height: 5'4

SW: 200

CW: 185

GW: 175

My workouts consist of the following: kickboxing 60 mins twice a week, jogging 2 or 3 miles twice a week, sometimes do about 50 mins on the eliptical on the weekends. also "try" to stick to a solid 1500 cal each day but seems to be more like 1600 - 1800.

Sounds awesome! I'm definately in.

Age: 18

Height: 5'6"

Current Weight: 135

Labour Day Goal Weight: 125

I eat around 1700 calories a day, more when I workout. I lift weights at home three days a week. I'm following the New Rules of Lifting for Women routine, but I just started it last week. For cardio I either do HIIT on my exercise bike, swim laps in my pool, or go rollerblading.

I've been looking for one of these to join!

Height: 5'9"

CW: 190

Labor Day GW: 178

I eat 1400-1500ish calories a day, I do crunches, push ups, etc every other day, and try to do some form of cardio on a daily basis (I've started taking my dog for jogs/walks in the woods lately.)

I would love to join too! Can't wait to be up to the challenge!

Height: 5'8.5"

SW: 164

CW: 149.5

Labor Day GW: 137

GW (End of September): 130-5

I try to eat 1400 calories a day and more if I exercise to make up for some of the lost calories. I run 5-6 times a week. Everyother day I do strength conditioning (dumbell exercises, planks, crunches, etc.). On Sundays, I don't do anything---just eat well.

However, the summer has made me forget about the whole exercise thing due to traveling so much. I NEED to get back on track!!!!

I'm in!!!!

MY GOAL (SEP):127

I eat 1250 calories a day and I make exersice 6/7 days to times for day in the morning (5:30 am) and evening (8:30) and I take a day off and just eat 1200 calories. I hope I can lose 10 pounds more!!!!

Wow, this group is perfect for me; my main motivation for joining Calorie Count (a few days ago) is this big event on Labor Day weekend with people I haven't seen for a while - I'd like to feel sleek and confident, rather than a bit chubby! So I'm definitely in :)

Height: 5'4

SW/CW (I am just starting out): 132

Goal weight by Labor Day: 125

For now I'm attempting 1200 calories a day but am thinking of increasing to 1350 as 1200 is really hard to do, and probably not sustainable. I don't really exercise, but hopefully this goal will motivate me to get on the cross trainer...I'd love to see results by Labor Day and hope this goal is realistic/achievable!

Normally I don't go joining groups, but this one might actually help me a bit. My first main-goal is to be less than 200lbs by the time my husband comes home from Iraq--which should be some point during September, anyway. If anything, this group will just keep me motivated and not get discouraged. =)

Height: 5'2''

Starting Weight March 2008: 235

Starting Weight for Group: 208.5

Goal weight  by Labor Day: 198-200.5lbs.

I also currently don't have much of a strategy, but I eat around 1500-1800 calories a day and am on my feet all day at work lifting heavy objects from time to time and whatnot, so that's been helping me tremendously. If I can get to 200 by September 1st, I should definitely be below it by the time the husband comes home. =)

I'll join up. I think I may be the only guy here, but why not? I just joined a few days ago, i actually added weight during the summer instead of losing it.

Height: 5'8

SW: 178

GW By Labor day: 165

I'm eating about 1800 calories a day, and try to get about 2 miles of jogging 5 days a week, as well as 3-4 days of strength training. I have a medium build and hold the weight well, but I'd like to try to drop down to at least 170 (people told me i look too skinny under, but I'd like to try to hit it anyways)

Count me in!  My fiance is on leave that weekend and that is my goal so being held accountable is awesome!

CW:153.5

I work out 7 days a week now, usually an hour or more, sometimes spin class.  I eat around 17-1800 calories a day, no sugar, no white breads, but I tend to overeat.  I have a tendency to eat alot all day and then be so full I can't eat after 6pm so my eating habits need to improve.

I would like to join too.

I'm having the darndist time trying to get these 10 pounds off.  Looking forward to being part of the group.

I've never done a group like this but I'd like to give it a try!  Sounds like my stats are very similar to happyteacher's.

CW: 142

Labor Day Goal: 135

I work out 7 days a week...it is the only way that I can burn enough calories to be able to eat in a way that feels reasonable (I want my reward glass of wine each night!).  I eat about 1400 a day, and try to burn about 2100, mostly through running, but also some hiking and biking.  I don't do very much strength training, becuase I can't seem to find the time to do that AND cardio and I'd rather increase my burn.

I, too, have never done this but would like to give it a try. Love this website and have been on it for one week

Labor day goal: 175

I play tennis every day doubles and singles about 2 hours. I walk about 3 miles a day to and from the courts. I'm eating about 1,800 calories a day. Just starting out after having BIG success on Adkins. Just want to enjoy the summer fruits and veg a bit more now but still cutting out bread, rice, potatoes, corn, peas, bananas, SUGAR!! So far I feel great just having a PLAN. Cheers

Yea....down 4 pounds this week. OK...I know that's routine with a first week weigh in and I won't expect it next week. Wonderful to be going the right direction, however.

I usually average 1400 cals a day.  I will add some more cardio (usually do about 3 days a week) and start committing seriously to strength training (been lacking there).  I need the motivation.  Great idea, thanks for starting this whsthatlady!
