If you could watch only one movie for the rest of your life what would it be and why?

Mine would be "Schindler's List" because it reminds me of how to treat others and that intolerance is wrong.  It shows what just one determined person can do and it keeps me from thinking that there is anything wrong with my life! :o)  I know it seems as if it would depress me, but it does not.  I find it a testament to courage at any odds.

Steel Magnolias.  I love that movie because it reminds me of how strong women are.  I especially like the bond that the women have in this movie...my women friends are the ones who get me through the tough days.  This movie reminds me of how important that bond is.
I love that movie too - Weezer is so great!

"I've just been in a bad mood for 40 years!" :o)
hmm hard one...i love all movies haha

a tie between 5th Element (i literally watched it all summer a few years ago, i had no other tv...so thats what was one the tv when i was home)...

and any one of the Evil Dead movies...cause those are just awesome.
Hm... I love movies.  This would be a tough one for me, too.

If I am ok with the sad movie all the time, my choice would land on "Life is Beautiful."  But honestly I can't stand the sadness and tear all the time, so it would have to be "Stranger than Fiction."
Hmm...well, as much as I love movies... I would have to say the one that always comes to mind for me is, "It's a Wonderful Life". Yep. Corny but true!
Yeah...it is a hard choice.  All great flics though! Hey, I met ZuZu once! :o) Got her autograph years ago for DH as it's his favorite movie.  The autograph is on a still from the movie - the shot when she and Jimmy Stewart are looking at her flower.  I had it framed and we put it up all December every year.

DH and I are going to have to get another place to put our DVD's.  Our movies runneth over! :o)
Spider-Man, without a doubt. I can't help it, it's my favorite ever. It's got everything... romance, comedy, drama, action. It's amazingggg.
That's cool Kallie. There are so many memorable scenes in that movie....always a fav around here!
Tommy Boy

It's one of the funniest movies I've ever seen.  I know it off by heart.  I love Chris Farley.  There are a zillion one-liner zingers in there that I use all the time.  My cousin does a wicked Farley impression and all through high school and college we had (and still do I guess) long running Tommy Boy jokes.  It just gives me good memories and warm fuzzies.  And makes me lmao. :P
Either Grease, cause I like to sing along, or Zoolander, cause it always makes me laugh.
Wow.  What a hard question.  I'm torn....

When Harry Met Sally....Princess Bride....or Willow.

I might have to say When Harry Met Sally.  Oh shoot, I don't know.
mefunk - TB is fav here too!  "Fat guy in a little coat" "That's gonna leave a mark"  and on and on....Chris Farley was great and so sad that he left this life so early!

Lots of great movies!  The Princess Bride makes me laugh - the scenes with the wine and which glass to drink and he's almost dead....too great!

My kids get mortified if I start singing along with Grease.  I remember seeing that the weekend it opened and we all went down the street after that singing all the songs! :o)

Who doesn't love the "Big O" scene in Harry Met Sally? One of the best scenes in any movie, ever!  I could never imagine being able to do a scene like that!  I'd be laughing too hard!

Thanks all for playing along! :o)
The first one that comes to me is "A Beautiful Mind" with Russel Crowe. For me it proves that our minds are the most powerful and capable of all computers and when you add true love, one can do anything. I always prefer true stories unless of course its animated. I love cartoons!!

For me, it would be The Motorcycle Diaries. I could gaze at Gael Garcia Bernal all day long. He's lovely.
Ok...in response to tinav - what is you favorite animated movie of all time....Hmmm...need time to ponder this one.......
Doubt I'd be happy with just one movie. If I had to pick an all-time favorite, though.. For Today, it's Spaceballs
Favorite cartoon movie of all times....Hmmmmmmm....thats a hard one for sure. And for enjoying the movie itself I dont think I can choose. But Alladin with Robin Williams as the Genie is definately the one I watched most and he one I most enjoyed owning. The movie itself was great mostly due to Robin. However the best part was watching and listening to my daughter. She was just a little girl at the time and she loved it. She knew the genies lines word for word as well as most of the other characters and would recite along with them, acting out scenes and even adding her own scenes. It was great to watch from the doorway or listen from the other room. More entertaining than any movie.
First time I took my DD to a movie she was pretty small - I had to have her sit on my lap 'cause she wasn't heavy enough to hold down the seat by herself! :o)

I think for me it would have to be Monsters, Inc.  I just love that.  hey....anybody every seen "Heavy Metal"  Now THAT is one heck of an animated movie!  Not for kids though!  Not a lot of people I know have seen it.  The ex rented it once not knowing what it was...pretty funny in places though.
"Fiddler on the Roof" for me in the movie and for animated "Wizards"

Wizards is one of those movies that was played at midnight with "Rocky Horror" on another screen.  Its definately a cult movie.
