Hi I'm a newbie here I found this site search the web looking for a calorie counting diet's and came across this site which was a WOW.I need to  lose 117 pounds seem's like a lot to me. I joined this site hoping to make friend's and get support from other's that have to lose as much as me .I know it will be a long road to lose this much. But I all so  keep ,telling my self I didn't put it all on in one day and it ani't going to leave in one day. I hope pretty soon I get back in my size 8 Black dress .

Hey Georgia Newbie...... I'm in Georgia too.

I have been dieting for years but have managed to maintain my 200+ pounds. I'd like to lose 60 ultimately, but I just need to get started and start feeling better. I just don't want to be blah and stressed about food and control all through the holidays Yelland I don't want to come out on the other side of them feeling guilty and 10 pounds heavier.Surprised

I've decided that tomorrow, 11/12, will be my official start date. I want to log everything to keep within 1200-1500 calories. And, I've got to make time for some exercise! I only live 8/10 of a mile from work ((chances are, it's not going to rain)), so I could walk to work at least 1 or 2 days. I have tons of exercise "stuff" (ball, weights, tubes, mat)), so I really don't have any excuses.

For me, I don't eat because I'm hungry. I mostly eat too much when I'm bored and the thing I find to do is eat... then I feel sad/guilty/awful and I eat because I'm sad. It's all a vicious cycle. I'll even start to do better (even drop a few pounds, maybe) and then I stumble across something that makes me quit and take steps backward, which puts me to where I am now. UndecidedSome days, I feel like I must be crazy to put myself through this all the time. I know I'd be happier if I were healthier/lighter. I know HOW to get healthier/lighter. I have the tools and the knowledge to be healthier/lighter, so why don't I do it?? If I knew that, I guess I'd be a millionaire with the latest and greatest diet plan, right?Wink

If you'd like, let me know what and how you're doing and I'll do the same. Maybe we can help each-other out.

Hello Carol  I just started my diet 2 days ago and been doing pretty good I'm doing  the 1.500 calorie diet . I have been in a rut on losing weight for about 3 yrs now . I 'am a lifetime memeber at Weight Watcher's but can't afford to go back . I had great success with weight watcher's lost 130 on it . But gain it all back because  of health promblem's . I tryed doing it again but couldn't get motivated back on the plan,so I knew then that I was burn out on that plan, so I decide that I need a new diet plan . That is why i'm doing the  calorie counting diet, I know I can loose on this diet .Also no one a failure we just get in rut's nd need to pull our selfs out. Most time we play the pitty party that doesn't concored a thing but more weight  gain, and if you like me we don't wont that. You know sometime's you need a support buddy that's going through what each other is going through.I think it be great that we can support one another on our journey to a better life style.Also I have a yahoo group that I'm co-owner of called thetwofatchicks. hi silverangel1969!!! i'm from georgia too :) i've been on CC for a few months and have definetly seen a change in size, weight and health!

i hope you enjoy the site, and good luck counting! it's a little addicting after awhile.  if you have any questions i hope i can answer them for you if you don't see it in the forums!
