Yogurt?

Are there any healthful yogurts out there? I used to be a Yoplait Light fan until I read the indgredients and found that high fructose corn syrup was the second ingredient! I've looked at all the yogurts and they all have sugar or a sweetener as the second ingredient. Maybe I'm wrong, but isn't that defeating the purpose of a healthful snack?

I eat Dannon light n fit but that is sweetened with splenda, which most people do not like. I have heard a lot of good things about Fage yogurt though.
Ooo! Ooo! Yes; Fage is good! Good for you, and quite tasty too...if you don't mind plain yogurt. I sometimes add honey to mine, and it's wonderful. Fage 0% is fat-free, 120 calories, and has 20 GRAMS OF PROTEIN. It's like meat almost, protein-wise, so it could be a main-dish for vegetarians!

Any nonfat plain natural yogurt is usually a good choice, and Dannon makes one too, so it'd be easy to find I'm assuming.
I AM TOTALLY going to SECOND the vote for

FAGE YOGURT!!

it's expensive,...and I may need to take a second job to support my new habit,  (LAUGH)---buut it is wooorth it!!

it's a greek yogurt that is SUPER thick and reminds me of sour cream actually----but it's FANTASTIC :)

I am def. a fan :)
I concur that Fage is the BEST!  But its hard for me to find : (

When I can;t find that I go with Dannon light n' fit
I like Stonyfield Farm Organic Yogurt.  It's also more expensive than the rest, but worth it!

I've tried the Dannon Light N' Fit, but that was right after I gave up Yoplait. I've also tried Stoneyfield. I guess I just have to get used to the real taste of yogurt instead of the fake sweet stuff. Stoneyfield is pretty good, it's just so runny. I like that it is organic though because I try to buy all organic now. I guess I should just switch to plain and add fruit to it. I haven't even seen the Fage brand anywhere. Maybe I'll hunt for that one. Thanks everyone!
I love weight watchers vanilla yogurt.  It's very tasty and has a more diet friendly label than some of the others.  It's even better when you add your own fresh fruit.
I like the non-fat plain yogurt.  Maybe with fresh fruit like bananas on top.  Even better if it is the organic kind.  I would even choose the full fat plain over the sweetened or flavoured kinds.
I'm a fan of Brown Cow yogurt. I mostly buy nonfat plain, but they have a fruit and grain variety that is excellent.
Fage is fantastic, so creamy, even the 0% fat one.

If you want a yogurt with flavouring you might try the Yo-plus. It comes in a 4 pack with 4 oz serves. I think it tastes pretty good and no HFCS--but it does have sugar.

For plain nonfat yogurt I like Nancy's Organic. I always have a tub in my fridge. I like it with a few sliced almonds, raisins and a drizzle of real maple syrup :P

ugh yeah i just switched from dannon light and fit because it had splenda. but then after i got home from the store with my mom i noticed the new yoghurt i got had aspartame!! which i hear is even worse :x

i hate how they add artificial sweeteners to yoghurt. it's often too sweet so it probably didnt need anything to begin with... lol

okay so i eat fage.

however, since fage yogurt isn't really yogurt-y at all, if it's yogurt that you seek:  EMMI yogurt, hands down.  it's the most delicious yogurt you will ever taste.  even the nonfat plain is absolutely superb.  but OH, THE FLAVORS!  fig and grapefruit and black cherry and even muesli.  nothing beats it http://www.emmiusa.com/english/yogurt/swiss-p remium/

Stonyfield.  The best stuff ever.  And they're nice to their cows.  : )

Or, if you're a fan of the lower-cal plain yogurt, try fega 0% greek yogurt.  amazing.  tastes almost like cottage cheese.  but in an amazing way.  just try it.

Yes, I LOVE the fact that Stoneyfield farmers are nice to their cows. It's very important to me as a vegetarian and animal lover. I guess I should just I should just eat that and not worry about taste/texture. Smile
