I need support and motivation from a good group who has similar weight loss goals. Is there anyone out there who would like to join me in my endeavor to lose 20 pounds? I'm setting up my gym routine tomorrow and planning a meal plan for the remainder of the week. If anyone wants to join me or has any recommendations, they are welcome with open ears!
Great! I'm glad to get a response. This 20 pounds is such a pain in the ass. And the funny thing is that all through high school I weighed 125. And then, I wanted to weigh 115 and could never get that low. Now, I'd kiss Jesus if I could just get back to 125. Oh, the burden that weight puts on us!
25 years old, 5'3, 136 pounds. My goal is 130 I've already lost 6 pounds but its been such a pain!! It seems like the first pounds melt off but the rest are super stubborn!
I am 20 years old, 5'6" ish and 141 (started at 145 a few weeks ago !! Meaning we have exactly the same stats and slight age difference, hehe) I want to get to about 130 ... I'm aiming for 133 by May 15 but may go lower once I get there. It depends as I think I may have a medium to larger frame than someone who is meant to be that small at my height. I remember being like 129 or so in grade 12 and wanting to be 125.. how ridiculous ! I am thinking my end goal is going to be 125 at the lowest. I think you made the right choice joining CC, I have been struggling to lose weight for the past few months and since joining CC I have lost 3-4 pounds in about a month. It really helps you to see exactly what you should put into your body.
Have you figured out your weight loss plan? I would highly suggest cardio 30-60 mins 3-5 times a week, and lifting weights (which is when I really started to notice that I was getting skinnier, the muscle really makes your body look good !) I've been aiming to eat about 1500 cals a day, but that may be different than what you should do depending on your activity level, age, etc.
im right around the same stats as you guys!! i would love to join. will we have a weigh-in day??

Hey there everyone! I'd love to join your group. I'm 27, 5ft3 and currently 143 from 148 (started 8/03/08). I want to get back down to my goal weight of 125, so I need all the support and advise I can get!

I like Wednesday weigh-ins, as it's a good mid-week point. Easter weekend was tough with big family dinners, but I'm hoping to get everything back on track this week! I have dental work first-thing tomorrow morning but have the rest of the day off, so I'm planning on having a double dose of the gym. Maybe thatll help me kick the holiday food!
LOL....I love that you put that! I would totally settle for 130 too! I'll be ecstatic when I get back into the 130s!

Hey everyone! I'd love to join this group, I'm 22 I wanna get back to 130, that was my weight about 3 years ago, now I'm at 145. I'm 5'7". I recently signed up with a personal trainer and have been working out a lot. My problem is FOOD! lol... I've stressing out about a couple of things in my life which causes me to have anxiety so that makes me crave food! even if I'm not hungry. therefore, I'm not really meeting the goals that I set up with my Personal Trainer (of course he doesnt know it yet) I try to keep it at 1200 cal/day but sometimes I lack willpower to say no to some bad food! then I feel really guilty about what I ate, and it puts me down. Once I even thought of throwing up... of course I don't wanna get to the point of having an EATING DISORDER!.....Also my period has been affected, I don't know if it's the weight or stress....... OR WHAT THE HECK!
So I'd appreciate all the help I can get from you guys' experiences or tips. Nice to know I'm not alone

im 25 and 145 lbs. my goal is 130.
ive lost 10 lbs in the past 2 months. not alot but steady!
just watching my portions, going to the gym at least 3 times a week (im getting better...sweating more etc)
if you dont have a gym membership i got one at 24 hr fitness for 29 bucks a month! they have everything there. keeps me coming back.
anyway LETS JUST STAY ON THE HORSE LADIES!!!

Hey peops! I'd like to join, I'm 29 and 145. I used to be at 170 2 years ago - I don't want to get up there on the scale again. I was down at 135 a few years ago and felt great, thus I would like to drop 10-15 pounds.
AND I'm turning 30 next week! So this is part of getting it together before it becomes more difficult! I have a gym membership and do a lot of yoga, just need to step it up and break my snacking habits.

I'm really good at starting things I never finish, so maybe with some social pressure I'll keep to it!
I'm trying the Weight Watchers system this time--my sister has miraculous results on it, and she's not a diehard dieter (she cheats like every time I see her). We'll see how it goes...
I am in the same boat! 27 137lbs 5'6 1/2 and I want to be 125 again too! I weighed 115 6 yrs ago but I got married!! I sit behind a desk all day! Anyone have any desk exercises that they love. I need to drop this weight! i need all the support I can get.
