Just curious to see what you teens can do physically. As in, how much endurance do you have? Do you do exercises like cardio, running, etc? Gymnastics? I admin I'm not physically fit well, I can't run more than a half a mile or so at once. I used to do cardio tons but not so much anymore, I can barely do 10 pushups. Gymnastically, I can do a somersault and a headstand. Great, eh?

I can predict which side a coin will land on when flipped. And I'm right almost half of the time!

Haha! I didn't even realize that. Silly spellchecker.

Skateboarding is a nifty outlet for me, as long as you don't mind some scrapes on the general knee/hand/butt area. I learned quite quickly it works muscles in the legs that I didn't even know I had. And it's pretty fun.

My friends and I also started going to kiddy playgrounds, like the ones from childhood... even though we're seventeen.
You play on those for an hour or so, you're really staying pretty active without thinking of it as exercising.

Then... there's always going to the mall and diving behind the nearest random object/person everytime you see someone with a designated trait (brown hair, facial piercings, sandals, etc.)
yeah... we're real dumb. Sorry. lol

I'm an avid soccer player. I'm a goalkeeper, so I know how to take a beating. I'm also a half decent lacrosse player, and I'm a defense wing (think of it like a defensive midfielder).

I love running, except I'm starting to develop a lot of problems in my knees. At my best, I can probably run a  good 7 miles or so without stopping. And I can do 2 miles in 15 minutes, which is something I'm really proud of. Sprinting is not my thing though.

I can also lift a freakish amount for being my size. I get a lot of weird looks in the gym lol.

I've never been much of a gymnast. At all. I'm not too coordinated actually.

I'm a bad ass Marco Polo player as well ;-)

umm before i hurt my knee the most i could do gymnastically was a roundoff backhandspring layout 1/2 twist (on floor) a baby giant (on bars) a front handspring 1/2 twist (on vault) and a backhandspring (on beam... not high beam though)

yeah i'm a gymnast :)

other than that, i can run a mile in like... 7:30... if i try really really hard... not much of a runner lol.

i can do a lot strengthwise, like situps, pushups, V-ups.

stynaetc, diving behind random people at the mall totally made me laugh. gotta try that sometime :)

right now i cant do nothing(injured but almost healed) and i can do alot of stuff i know i can run 10km at once and i did that last summer who knows how far i can run now(havent done is since its winter) um i can lift weights i can jump high, im insane in hacky sack, and got good flexibilty idk lol i dont have huge talents but would love to get into mma stuff

I go to dance every week (Hip-hop and jazz) for 2 hours. Sometimes you might just be working out formations or you might be dancing for the whole entire time! Its hard to smile like you are supposed to for the performance after you have done the dance 10 times already in one day!:)

I play varsity basketball as a freshmen. Gosh, that sounded arrogant, but that's not what I mean. It's just a different pace of game when you are 14 playing against 17 and 18 year olds especially when you came from grade school ball.

I run long distance in track and can run about 5 miles straight, 8 when you break them up with a short walk in between. I am thinking about cross country next fall.

I weight lift with both track and basketball. On the weekends, I run by myself or go to the gym.

Well...yah I swim, and I am going to do cross country this year (deatthhh) so I am pretty fit cardio wise. I'm not sure what my mile time is running, but swimming...it's fast. Let's see...I can't lift much to save my life, but I started a month ago.

Querty, you amuse me.

Wow, I'm going to come across very arrogant.

Handstands. Those took forever. A lot of falling on your face. I can do back handsprings, too. My cartwheels look like crap, though. I never could pull one off "Gracefully".

I'm a martial artist. So calisthenics, weight lifting, and cardiovascular training come pretty easy to me. Only through years of training, gallons of sweat, and pure determination.

Don't ask me to dance, though. I have two left feet. It doesn't matter. Ballet, ball room dancing, even aerobics. It's not footwork that gets me, really. It's relaxing and getting into the beat. I'd rather do a sparring match. That's my kind of dance.

And I don't do dresses or heels, unfortunately. I nearly twisted an ankle last time I tried heels. And, dresses make me feel funny. I have very athletic thighs..so...yeah. I feel like a beast in a dress.

And art. I mean, anything that isn't calligraphy. It's another thing I can't do. At all. Stick figures, my friend, is the extent of my artistic skills.

There, I feel satisfied now that I balanced that out a bit. I don't feel like I can list strengths without listing weaknesses.

i'm a martial artist and a dancer and a colorguard member

with martial arts i've learned how to basically be beaten half to death and still be able to defend myself

with dance...i do ballet so im considered flexible...i guess i kinda am..but it's not really as crazy as ppl say... i mean all my other dancer friends can do it

with guard we have 3 hr cardio/workout practices

and show days we're out for almost 12-16 hours

I can bike 20 MPH for a sustained amount of time and bike up every hill in my neighborhood on the last gear.:] I could never do that when I had Anorexia.

Endurance? Pah!

No, I can't last very long so would definately like improve my general fitness. I can't run to save my life, but if it came to that, I'd have give it a go so I walk instead. I'm the kind of person that counts down my workout thinking, "Whe will it end?"

But I think that also has a lot to do with how fun it is. With my walking, I'm kind of forced to keep going as its a 3mile walk from school and the correct bus goes in the completely opposite direction but I carry my mp3 tp make it more enjoyable. I think its important when buying Exercise DVDs to make sure they're fun. My favourite is Ministy of Sounds Pump It Up ( anyone have that?) I also enjoy most sports with compulsary PE at school Badminton, Basketball (Netball just fustrates me!)

Working on flexibility but wouldn't be able to stand like 30mins of yoga as I'm fidgety and impatient and its very slooow. But I can do a roly-poly! Laughing Wish I could cartwheel/ handstand.

I can jog a mile :]   (w00t go me)

Annd....I can kick things really really far. :] :]

I can flex my pecks and make my boobs bounce... and i can dance for hours when the rest of my friends get tired.. That's about the extent of my physical accomplishments.

I actually told this random girl at the bar that I was "physically challenged" she thought it was quite hillarious lol.

I can't run because my knees can't take impact..so the closest thing I can get to running is an elliptical and I could just stay on that thing for hours on end if I had the time. Adrenaline is amazing.

I take a walk everyday for about 80 min and I go bowling a lot.

I can lift the back-end of my friend's Hyundai Accent off of the ground.  Not safe, I know, but it made me feel like the incredible Hulk.

Other than that, I'm not too physically gifted... YET.

tennis. i made varsity since my freshman year too and next year i will be the captain. i love the girls and we all work really hard. i am state runner up my freshman year and state champion my junior year [this year]. i really enjoy basketball, baseball, anything really. and dancing is so much fun! i like to hip hop dance and break dance. haha but im just learning. i know how to do a few crazy things on the dance floor though lol. hm i guess what im saying is even if youre as small you can def do some pretty cool stuff :)

Weight training is kind of the only physical activity that I am decent at (I used to play softball, but I wasn't that good). I took the class 9th grade, am going to take it again, and try to do weightlifting in my spare time. I've gotten kind of lazy so I've lost muscle strength, but my highest bench was 200. It's really good for when you lose weight because when you begin dropping pounds, your body needs less calories than before but you continue to eat the same amount, so you end up gaining the weight back (which is what usually happens). By working your muscles and getting them bigger, you up your metabolism and you can still consume more calories.
