I just ordered Turbo Jam and I'm just curious how many people are using it, how long, and how much weigh/inches you have lost.
Thanks!
I've been using it a few weeks (about once or twice a week, alternating with yoga), and I love it. Don't know if it's contributed to weight loss, or loss of inches (I haven't measured in a while), but it does seem that my mid section is getting more firm.
I've been doing Turbo Jam for almost a year and I am an addict. It really works your core and slims down your midsection, but you can see results all over. It sculpts your arms and legs and lifts your butt! (Well, it did for mine lol) It's an all around great workout and really fun to do. The only difficult thing I would say about it is that the moves are very fast and choreographed like dancing, but you can start with the modified moves and the eventually you'll get used to all the choreography and it will be a piece of cake! I gained muscle using it so the scale only showed maybe a 20 pound drop in total, but the inches you will lose doing Turbo Jam is simply amazing! Love it!
Turbo Jam's a nice break in the monotony of doing one certain exercise over and over. I've only been using it for 2 weeks...I run a mile then do 10 minutes of turbo jam and I'm spent for the night :) You'll like it.
I lost 45 lbs (about) and I STILL LOVE IT!!!!! It tones muscles AND gives a good cardio workout at the same time! Cardio-kickboxing is one of the few exercises that truly gives a full-body workout. I even did a report on TJ for my PE class =P
Where can I but Turbo Jam i have been interested in it for awhile. Im scared I might go to a phony site and get ripped off, or what store can I purchase it at?
courtneyes,
I started the TJ program on April 1, and easily lost the 10 pounds I was looking to get rid of and 2 inches on my waist and hips. I followed the diet plan pretty religiously the whole time, and now am just exercising for more tone, not weight loss. I still find it fun and effective, and though I also have HipHop Abs for variety, and like that too, Turbo Jam feels like a more complete workout (ie. I can actually feel it working while I'm doing it). Let us know how you do with it.
I've only been using TJ for a couple of weeks now and while the scales aren't registering much at the moment I have had so many compliments about how I look, and my clothes definitely feel better!!
I got mine from amazon as well. Only thing I would be careful about is getting it from beachbody.com (I stumbled across a website that was FULL of complaints - everybody loved the workouts but had terrible things to say about the customer service).
In terms of the workout though, I only have cardio party - the moves are tricky but I've got most of them now - so persevere. The presenter is enthusiastic and the whole thing is fun - I actually look forward to doing it
and I work up a real sweat ![]()

I got it from beachbody.com and didn't have too much of a problem with customer service (i only called once though). I bought the maximum results package, which does a good job teaching the moves before you get right into cardio-party (good on you for figuring it out on the spot). Plus there is the bonus of the 20 minute workouts which are easy to fit into any schedule. Abjam ins great too, and Turbo Sculpt is gentle but effective. I look forward to it too, and I have never liked exercising.
I think the reason I picked up the moves pretty quickly is because I used to do martial arts when I was a lot younger (and a lot fitter!!!)
I was thinking of doing turbo sculpt as well but it includes weights and I'm already doing weights 3x a week (as well as TJ 3x a week) so I'm struggling to fit any more in!
I really agree with the presenter of TJ (Charlene - have I got the spelling right on that
) that you will keep something up if its fun and TJ, I find, is a lot of fun! (In a hot, kinda exhausting, sweaty way
)
I got it a year or so ago and HATED it. God I hated it so much. I wanted it for something different in the ways of cardio but I couldn't get past that annoying woman.
If you're looking for it to lift, sculpt, firm or whatever other adjectives I've seen thrown around, it's not the best thing by a long shot. I probably don't have to say it at this point, but that's what weights are for.
I have TJ and love it. Been doing it off and on for a couple years. I have lost pounds/inches but gained them back ( my fault). I ordered the videos on the website- you still have some upsells to go thru, but at least you don't have to talk to a person. I find that the Beachbody message boards are very active and supportive. There are seperate threads for each of their workouts (of which I have several) and there are photo albums of people doing TJ or whatever that will give you an idea as to what results can be achieved. Some of the people on the videos have been really successful with the programs, and they are on the message boards alot.
I've been trying to find threads in here that offer the support and motivation but they just seem dead... unless you only want to lose like 10 lbs, and I have 8x's that to lose!
Hi princess...there's a thread on the beachbody site for people who have started TJ in May. Its pretty active at the moment so you might want to have a look in on it.

I decided to do TJ 3x a week and weights 3x a week. However, I've looked at your profile and I think you would laugh at the weights I lift (I'm only a beginner!!) Still, I'm getting there.
I would NEVER laugh at someone's weights! I might roll my eyes at you if you're not even trying, though
I love turbo Jam! Just doing it 2-3 days in the first week I saw significant slimming in my mid section...ya know those love handles. I just had twins and have a lot more weight to lose, Chalene is awesome, so are all of the people that do the work out with her. My favorite...FAT BLASTER, totally intense and awesome!
I would tell you the pound weight loss but for some reason the battery in my scale decided to die today, thursday, which is my weekly weigh in day!
Boo Hoo!

I went to the fitness thread and saw that once you can lift 12 reps for 3 sets you should move to the next weight up. Is that right?
