Any Curb Your Enthusiasm fans?

I just got finished with renting all the DVD seasons, watching them for the first time. Id heard many positive things and I aboslutely adored the humor.  In fact, I was going online to see videos of interviews Larry David's done because he's so entertaining and funny to listen too.

For some reason I'd thought it was a Brittish comedy and I knew nothing going in.  The swearing on the show is particularly funny, not that I normally find it so.  I dont know whats funnier - the show or him.

Oh I love Larry!  Did you get up to season six?
Just finished season six and didnt know what to make out of that ending (or was it an ending) but loved how they acutally incorporated a sensitive moment although havent really missed them with all the over the top humor the shows based around.

One of the interviews (starts HERE) was 8 video series and I was surfing while listening to it in the background but realized I was missing out on his expressions - he is such a trip to watch that I switched over to actually view them too.

My mate introduced me to Curb Your Enthusiasm and lent me the first two seasons - is there like 10 now? I dunno, I don't think its aired on UK TV anymore/at the moment.

Yeah, so I absolutely wet myself with laughter. But its the kind of thing that doesn't suit everyones fancy, its a certain kind of humour. My favourite moment is when he makes a comment about Wanda's ass when he drives past her( "I'd recognise that ass anywhere") and Wanda and Cheryl confront him at home. I'm like crying thinking about it! Great stuff.

There are 6 seasons.  It's probably one of the funniest shows ever.  I really like Seinfeld too!  Larry is the best.

So what are you going to watch now sun?  My suggestion would be The Office (UK) and Extras.
How did you do that jewels?  I am finishing Extras season one rental this weekend with season 2 and the "extra special series finale" next in line. Still waiting on Juno and The Diving Bell and The Butterfly to be released.  I dont usually take to comedies but the few times I do, its this type of humor.
I read minds lol!  Duh.  Oh I can't wait till you get to the X-mas special.  You gotta tell me if you cried during Andy's speech (not a spoiler don't worry).  I bawled and laughed.  It was a really great ending to a really great show.  The Office (UK) is funny too, but I think I like Extras more.  DH prefers The Office.

I saw Juno two weeks ago or so (BitTorrent).  It was alright.  I had high hopes for it and was let down a little.  That's what I get for having high hopes though huh?

Our tastes are really similar eh?  Pretty cool.

I love this show - too many things to point anything specific, but I have loooots of sympathy for Cheryl ;) There are countless moments when I say to myself - "she must REALLY love this guy";)

Appreciate the heads up on Juno - will real those expectations in a bit because Ive also experienced a good movie being a dissappointment when movie buzz gets expectations particularly high.

I unfortunately fell asleep during Comedy Centrals night of too many stars but hope to catch it late late tonight.  Its an autism telethon and at one point a caller named Larry (hmmm) called in.  The audience didnt even catch his voice which is SO obvious until they put "Larry" with his pic at the bottom of the screen.  Apparantly he had issue with the gifts for donations being given but coincidentally Susie from the show took over the call and you can imagine where it went from there.  He ends up threatening to come down to the studio and then walks on stage for a brief cameo, still in Curb character.

Regarding Cheryl, a discussion of the show mentioned how having her makes people see this cranky character also as possible a lovable one too.

Best show ever.

I have Curb's theme-song as my ringtone.

Granted he's NOT Larry David and the supporting characters are lacking, but considering how well the impersonator looks, sounds AND acts like him - pritty good, pritty prittyyy good.

Part 1
Part 2

It gets better after starting off too and certain moments are spot on.
