Is anyone here Fructose senstive?
I read about fructose and how it affects some people in a bad way.
Even eating too many fruits could be bad for those who are frctouse interlorance and how that can lead to increase hunger and major binges.
Those poeple tend to be sugar addicts.
Any thoughts/ experiences on that?

actually it just depends on the fruits that you eat..
if you eat fiber riched food much better.. ;)
like pineapple, papaya..
and yes too much sugar would lead to bad health.. ;)
like diabetes, dizziness..
I think unless the person has diabetes, any "fructose intolerance" is a psychological issue.
David, no it is not. I read a book about how fructose can sabotage the appetite hormones so some overweight people dont stop eating even their stomach is full.
I am trying to understand what happened to me. After I tried to increase my intake, I had terrible binges and I overeat everyday. I went from 140 to almost 180 in 6 months and I dont stop eating as I don't feel I am full until I get sick and dizzy.

I really think it is different for each person how they react to sugar. Personally I dont tolerate it very well even in the form of fruit, it just makes me hungrier than when I started.
Sugar also contributes to me binging.Lets face Im responsible for the binging but the sugar really isnt helping just makes me hungry for more and more.If I stay away from sugar I do not binge and my hunger level is much more even.
Again this is just my experience so your milage may vary but I do not believe it is just a psychological issue.

jerbear98: I totally agree with you. Sugar makes me crazy about food and I eat nonstop until I feel the pain in my stomach.
How did you manage to stay away from sugar? I tried but couldn't stay on a sugar strict diet more than one day.
I read in a book ( the frctouse free diet) that people who used to eat a lot of sugary foods develop leptin resistance.

I'm very sensitive to fructose. It makes me hungry, and when I eat it, it doesn't help curb the cravings. The only time it does is when I drink AZ green tea. Other than that, nope, I'll eat til I burst. I've had to start eating ALOT of fiber for what I'm used to. (my body is used to maybe 5grams tops and for the past 2 weeks, I've been eating like 20grams) It helps alot.
But then, I'm allergic to everything, so maybe I'm just crazy?
