i have decided i am what you call "skinny fat" i am 5'10", 135 lbs. i have been working out for quite awhile, however i am looking to change up my routine as i have been doing the same strength training exercises.
mon-wed i get up early and go to the gym from 7:30-8:30. i was thinking full body strength training mon and wed and cardio on tuesday
thurs i just signed up for a hip hop dance class from 6-7 at night. i assume it will be mostly cardio but i imagine my legs will also benefit
fri sat and sun i am planning 2 days off, and the other one maybe another full body work out?
i am mainly concerned about my stomach and back area. my legs are pretty strong and my arms dont look bad, but i need some new excercises. right now i do curls, shoulder press things/flys with free weights, bench press, tri pull downs, a series of ab work outs and occasionally squats and lunges.
Three days of weights is really ideal (as opposed to two). Look at Stumptuous for some plans to follow. What you want to do is cut out the isolation stuff (curls, tri pull downs) because they don't give you any more bang for your buck than doing compound exercises (chest press, rows, squats, etc).
Good luck with the weights. You'll be very happy with the results if you keep at it
sweet thanks. yea ill cut out the curls and tri pull downs. we do have a row thing so i will incorporate that, with chest press, lat pull downs, squats, lunges, ab stuff, and the superman thing (lie on the ground belly down and bring your shoulders up)
before my morning work outs i just have a banana, work out, shower, and then have regular breakfast, which is usually wheat bread and pb, oatmeal w/ apple, or cereal with soymilk. its ok to eat after as opposed to before right?

Figure out what type of eater you are and you might just find the answer to permanent weight loss.
