A coin toss

Lately I have been using a quarter to determine some of my decisions regarding eating and exercising just to leave it to chance and see what it has to say. Well today it told me to exercise and then when i flipped it to see if I should buy the Ben and Jerry's ice cream that I really wanted it told me not to. Pretty good thing too because I just came home, had some of the light ice cream in the fridge with some cool whip and even though I could have done without it I do feel better then I would have if I had gotten the B&J ice cream. Not looking for comments, just had to get it off my chest. I have been so strict on my eating that I just wanted to break loose today. I get so jealous when I see my friends eating whatever they want and even though they are not the fittest people in the world I am just jealous that they can be so care free about what they eat. I see no stress when they make thier decision and they enjoy thier food. I don't know...know i'm just rambling.

good for you for making the better choice! and about your friends, just remember that caring about what you eat, is caring about your body. its very important, so don't be jealous of them, be proud of yourself!

You're Harvey Dent, aren't you?

:D

what do you mean? who's harvey dent? and who are you talking to, me or vmc butterfly ?

Sorry for the confusion. Harvey Dent is a fictional character that flips a coin to make big decisions. He's one of Batman's foes.

also know as two face.

two faces of the coin. Batman had some great villians. Him and the Riddler. Think that was Batman Begins right.

I think that when in doubt, it can be fun to flip a coin (on occasion).  The thing I have to remember?......I've been flipping coins my whole life hoping for the best outcome.  It's up to me now to make the best and most productive decisions for myself.  Otherwise, what are the odds that the coin will have a positive effect?  50/50.  Those aren't the kind of odds I need to reach my goals.  I have to make the choice to diligently make better decisions.

I hope you don't mind my rant...it's less about you and more about how your post prompted me to think about my own shortcomings when it comes to motivation and follow-through.

Good luck in your journey to be healthier, and I absolutely aggree with Trishy.  At the end of the day, you can't claim responsibility for anyone's habits but your own, so don't feel jealous of your friends....in time they'll be jealous of you and your new and improved, svelt figure :)
