OK, so I first got my period in February of '07. (i was 12, i believe) My cycle has never been regular, my first period was normal-heavy, my second was very light spotting, and my third was VERY HEAVY followed by another one two weeks later, just as heavy. After that I got one maybe every other month, but now I haven't got one since like, December or November. I am 5'0 and 96 pounds, is it amenorrhea or have I just not had my period long enough for a regular cycles?

My first year or two I was pretty irregular... and I've heard that it is pretty normal to be irregular in the first year or so.  I wouldn't worry about it too much, but maybe consider asking a doctor or your mom?

irregularity i'd say. unless you're lost weight since december or november; then it'd probably be amenorrhea. i have yet to have a regular period. even pre-ed i only got it like twice a year. the doctor keeps saying it's fine and i shouldn't worry about it though.

I'm pretty sure doctors advise you not to worry about irregular periods until you are about 17 or so. If you are experiencing any other symptoms along with it then it may be a good idea to talk to your mom about it. Odd symptoms could include excess body-hair growth, any nipple secretion, any changes in vision, unexplained weight gain or loss, just to name a few.

Again, it is probably just your body getting a handle on all the changes that are taking place, but if you are experiencing any other symptoms then it is worth a check-up.
