Wow, that is really impressive !!! Congratulations! I just started here on May 8 and didn't loose anything yet. My weight is 148 pounds, my gole is 10 pounds for now. I need to eat 1700 calories to loose 1- 2 pounds a week. When did you start loosing weight ?

Hi,

I am new here.  This is my first attempt at losing weight.  I'd like to lose about 25 lbs.  I weigh 145 lbs.  I am 49 and am not liking my big belly.  I'd like to feel good about turning 50 and losing my big belly and upper arm fat would be a great 50th birthday present to myself.  I have been sticking to the plan so far.  I don't own a scale or want to.  I really like the system here. It is not a diet site but healthy lifestyle site.  Lots of great information.  I have learned alot about food and nutrition in just a couple of days.

I'm not sure what "this program" that you're referencing is.  Assuming that it's the Calorie Counting program where you eat healthy balanced meals that are 500-1000 calories less than you burn every day then terrific.  I'm amazed at your progress but some people in their first month even do drop a significant amount of weight, almost as if their body was just waiting for them to do it right.

28 pounds is a lot of weight to lose in 2 months.  This really is not the typical result that most people see.  A lot of it is probably from water retention.  Improving your diet can definitely clear out some of what your body is holding onto.  ~1-2 lbs per week or ~1% of your body weight is the recommendation for weight loss, this would be around 16 pounds in two months.  Please double check that you are doing things in a healthy manner as if you've gone a bit overboard at this point it's easily correctable and will actually result in a steadier weight loss over time.
