Hi, I would like to get in shape for the summer...I am currently in college and have gained a bit more weight than I would have liked to:) I am 5'3 and weigh 143lbs...would love to go down to 125lbs or so over the course of the next few months and would love to hear from anyone else with the same situation? 

I could certainly do with some motivation...someone to chat to when Im contemplating a chocolate binge:)

Wow you have almost the same stats as me. i am 5,3 and weigh 138.5 and want to get to 125 as well. as for me, i keep eating too much at night b/c i will have a glass or two of wine. i know what to do, i am just not doing it. i have never weighed this much not even when i was pregnant.

So i would love a weight loss buddy.

i think i justify my binges b/c we are trying again to have another baby but now i am getting fat:( However, it's just a number...right?!?

I'd love some motivation too. For chocolate binges - try low calorie hot chocolates.. seem to work for me!

Yay!  This sounds like a group for me too.  I am 5'1 started at 155 and now I am at 135.  I am graduating University this year and starting a new career in the fall and I'd love to get to 120.

Maybe we can share tips too? 

Great, thanks guys, hopefully we will all succeed together! wow ollie u have had a great headstart there...sounds like u know what you are doing! i am in the middle of exams here at the mo so finding it hard to stick to a diet! any study snacks u can recommend? 

Also Amy a new baby is a great incentive to lose weight, lets do this!

I have another 17lbs to go but do you think I could join in anyway? It's close! I really want to get rid of it by the end of August so I can be 130. I'm 147 right now.

I'm bummed to say I'm doing this for the second time in a year.  Got down to a good weight for me last year and ate my stress when I made a big move this winter.  Oh well.  Back at it!


I'm 132 right now but really into heading back down to the neighborhood of 120 lbs.  I'm a bit under 5'4" and 43.  Would love to check-in now and again for the moral support.

i'm 5'2" - 34yrs old... I would love to join as well - i'm currently somewhere around 135 and want to reach 123 this summer (have a wedding to attend in mid july! want to look smashing!!:-)) - someone somewhere around here had the great idea of weighing in on friday mornings to avoid the whole "i ate too much during the weekend"! what do you think about that?

Hey Everyone

I'm going for this for the 2nd maybe 3rd time this year ha-ha.  I have 10lbs that I would like to lose by July 11th.  My parents are getting re-married and I want to lose that 10 so I don't look horrible in photos.  I'm having a hard time getting motivated though.  5' 10" and 185 lbs.  I would love to be 165 lbs, which I was about 3 years ago, but I have to do baby steps!

heres hoping I have lost something by next Friday (i will be three exams down by then:)!!) 

good luck guys ps my boyfriend brought me home a twix last night but i figured it was a last treat before i start into this...i savoured every chocolatey morsel:) 

also i am a tea-aholic...i drink approx 6 cups a day and find it helps my concentration and prevents me from snacking...should i stop drinking so much? 

yey! so up for this group, and need all the support i can get. im a student, living away from home and have put on around a stone since last sept! i started at 143lb down to 140lb and my goal is 127lb for summer...hopefully. im 22 and 5ft 3.

it would be great to here from any of you!

I'll try again too!  Today I weighed in at 142.8 and I'm 5.2".  I fluctuate quite a bit between 143 and 139.  Wine is also my downfall.  I've recently had to buy new clothes to would fit.  Mad me sad & mad.YellCry

okay - friday, 1. week: 135,8 (which is sooo depressing, since my scale just three days ago said 133.4... i guess the redwine the other night did it's damage!!!)

i'm really glad we're doing this, as i need the support and accountability... and good job to those of you who've done this for a while and actually lost weight---you're an inspiration

This is really hard for me, but I wanna lose 20 lbs, I weigh 130 and I am only 5'1, and the weight has all decided to gather around my waist! I am having a hard time parting from my snacking and what I choose to snack on!huuuhh! I don't own a scale, so I think it's a good thing, I will go to someones house once a week! Good luck!

I'm 5'3, 140 lbs and my goal is 107 lbs -a little light for my height but still at a healthy weight. Ahahaha, I'm also a student in need of losing some weight; it seems to be common for us school children -as when the school stress starts coming, the weight also start adding. Best of luck to everyone and I hope I'm not too late to join your group!

yay - i finished week 1 of the excercise plan - and tomorrow i'm planning to go for another run (upping it five minutes to 26minutes...i know, not a whole lot, but for me, just getting it done is quite a feat)...hope friday will bring bliss to us all :-)

Hey, I'm about halfway through my weightloss now. I'm 5'2, was 133 april 1st and now I'm 121. hurray! I see there's some people who had my same stats and I just want to encourage that it's easy after awhile! cooking and measuring REALLY helped me, so did daily hour long walks with occasional half hour of strength exercise. I can't believe i weigh the least I ever have since i was 18 RIGHT NOW. if you don't have a scale, get one from tanita! only about 30 something dollars and mine gives me body fat percentage and body water percentage, so if I gain weight, sometimes its muscle and I don't feel so bad, or its water weight so its only temporary. great for morale!

I'm still going for 110 tho, so I need some extra motivation, I've been slipping lately Embarassed.

oddly enough, stress hasn't been making me gain weight, lord knows there's enough of it going around tho. stay strong guys!
