Lose 20 lb. by September 15th

I'm 19 years old and just finished my freshman year of college. I'm 5'4 and 157 lb. My goal weight is 125 but for now I want to lose the first 20 lb. By September 15th I would like to lose the first 20 and then the other 12 lb. by December. I leave the first week of January for 7 months to go study abroad in Italy and visit my family in Croatia. We can weigh our selves every Monday and post our losses (hopefully).

hello =] i am 23 years of age and 5'2" 135lbs. im trying to lose 20 lbs by mid september too.

I'm In! 255, 5'11" want to lose more than 20, but you have to start somewhere. I've lost 25 since January so this would be another great accomplishment for me! Wish you guys luck.

What do you plan to change about your lifestyle so that you lose the weight?

I have been counting calories, keeping them between 1450 and 1550. I've been working out 4-5 times a week, strength training and cardio for about 1.5-2 hours. I love working out, it makes me feel so good! But yeah, you guys have any tips or something that you have difficulty with? Lets chat it up!
Ok, I'm game!  First off, I'm Kristy.  I am 178 (2 weeks ago at my annual "girl" visit) and 5'7.  I want to hit 150 before Dec (my 35th b-day) but I wouldn't mind dropping it quicker!  My hubby loves the way I am right now but I'm not super happy with the extra weight.  My tummy is my main problem area.  Can I just say that having big babies was not my idea! 

I work out usually 4 days a week both cardio classes and some free weights, ab workouts, eliptical, etc.  I just started (again) watching my calories, trying to keep it around 1200/day.  Anyway, I hope to get to know you all very well and best of luck!!!

Hi, I've just turned 26. I'm 5ft2 and weigh around 135-137lbs, I would love to drop 20lbs by mid September!!

I have really lost the motivation and will power to lose weight, need to get this back.

To answer Sharpdust... I've decided to try keeping the calories between 1300-1400. And congrats on the 25 lost thats awesome and yeah you have to start somewhere... I figured if I lost the first 20, the last 12 will be easier to keep motivated for. I've been slowly getting into a routine of working out. Last night I ran although after an hour I got caught in thunder and heavy rain haha What a workout that was! I'm hoping to alternate days.... one day gym so I can weights... some machines and classes that my gym offers and then another day going for a run. 

And Naija... I totally hear you... I feel like I need to start getting motivated soon because it just gets harder the longer I wait.

I'm really happy you guys all want in on the group. I'm excited to see where this goes...

Since I only started yesterday I doubt I'll have much to show by monday :P

Why don't we do measurements too? I think they're much more encouraging and inclusive. not everyone loves the scale :P

I really like the due day.  It is very doable I believe for 20 so I'm in too.  I'm 28, 128.8 this morning and 5.3".  I am aiming for 115 and If I reach (crossing my fingers) I'll see for more.  I don't like to look sick skinny, I prefer healthy skinny without jingling butt and legs LOL!

Hey! I have pretty similar goals. I'm also just finishing freshman year and am 19. I'm 5'4" and want to get down to 130 or 125lbs by September and right now I'm 145lbs.

I would like to join you as well... only I'm going for bigger numbers... hoping for 31 lbs by that time.. the site seems to think I can do that... we'll SEE!

I'm 5'9; 181 and 27.  I'm not sure I really want 150.. but its close to the middle for healthy bmi.  I remember being 145 and thinking I had a gut.. but 150 and tone (more upper body then previously) would be a happy place for me I think.

I think everyone has pretty good goals. Kukumonkey... I'm a little heavier now but I think for our 5'4 height... 125-130 is pretty good. I have a feeling I'm going to be a lot lighter bc I weighed myself two days ago when I first got my period so my whole body is out of wack haha I always lose like 5 lb. after my period.

i'm in i'm in!! my name is maggie, i'm 5'1" and weighed in at 124.4 lbs this morning! i just ended ttotm and oh my gosh. my weight was up like crazy during, but now ive lost some, so i'm happy. i want to be around 110 or maybe even a little less by the time i go back to school. i've lost 10 pounds so far. lets do this!!

Hi everyone!  I'm in here!

I am 5'5 and 165 lb.  I think 20lbs is definately workable.  My goal weight is around 130lbs, but I don't want to rush myself. 

I started over a year ago with my weight at 236lbs, and over time I have lost 70lbs.  For some reason, these last 30is lbs are very stubborn, so I think setting a 20lb goal could be smart.  :)
